2018 Nissan X-Trail Facelifted

The Nissan is on a mission to revamp its existing car portfolio, and the Japanese car giant is all set to unleash the new version of popular model 2018 Nissan X-Trail. The midsized SUV is, in fact, one of its successful and popular models. Globally, the company has sold more than 835.000 models of the SUV so far.

The 2018 Nissan X-Trail SUV boasts of sportier and sleeker exterior styling compared to the predecessor. The front fascia looks enticing, to begin with. The new style V-Motion 2.0 grill is there and it looks more aggressively designed. The redesigned DRLs, rectangular front fog lights and Led headlamps also look nice. You will find less plastic body cladding in the 2018 model and it has more chrome accents on side and front.

It will be sold in 4 trim levels- Visia, Acenta, N-Connecta, and Tekna. The SUV will be sold in 6 exterior hue and some new color choices have been added for 2018. The new hue choices include Palatial Ruby, Monarch Orange, Sapphire Blue, Gold Beige and Picador Brown. Top trim models get 19-inch alloy wheels.

The cabin of 2018 Nissan X-Trail looks sleek and material quality has also received a boost across the trims. The famous Zero Gravity front seats are there and traveling long distance will not produce fatigue in riders. The 2nd row is laden with Nissan’s much-touted Easy Flex Seating. Default cargo capacity in the SUV is decent.

However, it is equipped with Flexible Luggage Board System and you can set up shelves and dividers to accommodate bags and groceries in whichever way you want. There is a hidden compartment to stow away valuable belongings safely. The dashboard is sleek looking and visual clutter is almost nonexistent. Plenty of accessory and bottle holders are there in its cabin and center console is also revised. The inclusion of electric tailgate option is a welcome move.

Safety Technologies and Amenities

Nissan has been making good progress in equipping its cars with cutting-edge safety technologies and amenities. The 2018 Nissan X-Trail is a solid example of the enhancements made by Nissan in this regard. The SUV features ProPilot suite of autonomous driving technologies. It also includes features like autonomous braking systems, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assistance. These features help the driver evade collision and drive in various traffic conditions minus hassles. An Around View Monitor and Moving Object Detection system enhances safety.

The amenities are also good for the category. Top Tekna trim can be laden with a top-notch Bose sound system. You can opt for heated seats at the rear row in some trims as well. All trims feature a DAB radio. However, the Paw pack is optional. It includes dog guard, bed, boot liner and non-spill water bowl.

2018 Nissan X-Trail – Comes with Two-Engine Options

The 2018 Nissan X-Trail has the same engines sued in its predecessor and that is not bad actually. The 1.6-litre dCi 130 engine is used in base trim and in top trim you can opt for the beefier 2.0-litre dCi 177 unit. You may go for the 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine as well. All engines are paired with the company’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission gearbox.

The 2018 Nissan X-Traill is available for sale and the base trim price is $25,000 approx. There is no denying the 2018 Nissan X-Trail is a compelling mid-range SUV. Its enhanced styling, utilitarian cabin and top-notch safety features give it an edge over segment rivals.
