2019 Audi Q4

The famous carmaker from Ingolstadt is full of amazing models, but its lineup will be expanded with the new 2019 Audi Q4. This brand offers pretty much all kinds of vehicles, but crossovers are along with sedans probably most popular. So, the company plans to improve its offer in many ways.

There are few redesigns in plans for the near future. We will see new generations of Q5 and A7 models, but also few completely new vehicles. Besides 2019 Q4, we are also about to see a completely new Q8. These two new crossovers will be in the same co-relation with their odd-numbered brothers – Q3 and Q7. The company will offer sportier, coupe-like variants of these famous crossovers, something that we have seen from Audi’s Bavarian rival several years ago. The new model is expected to come in a year or two.

2019 Audi Q4 design

The 2019 Audi Q4 will be a completely new model, just like we mentioned. Audi will offer a completely new crossover, which will be based on the familiar Q3 model. These two models will be closely related. Since the new generation of Q3 is on its way, its sporty Q4 variant should come right after. The company will implement the brand’s latest design language on both models, which will ride on the famous MQB architecture.

Its styling will be pretty much the same at the front. On the rear end will different. While the new Q3 will continue with the same classic 5-door SUV body style, new 2019 Audi Q4 will feature a more coupe-like shape. It will come with a sloping roofline, something that we have already seen from Audi’s arch-rival BMW, with its X6 model several years ago.

2019 Audi Q4 interior design

Audi works on the completely new next-generation cabin design that will be in use for pretty much all upcoming models of the brand. The new 2019 Audi Q4 will be among them. New Q3 and Q4 crossovers will feature pretty much the same cabin, which will come with numerous significant changes, compared to the current-generation Q3. For example, we will see a far more digitalized dashboard. Pretty much all conventional analog buttons and knobs will be replaced by new digital controls. We are also about to see a new steering wheel. It will feature a sportier, flat-bottom design and higher trim levels will also include paddle shifters. Rest of the cabin will also get a completely new touch, although we are pretty sure that the brand’s basic design philosophy will remain the same. So, expect an elegant, minimalistic approach, with plenty of larger surfaces of hi-quality materials.

2019 Audi Q4 engines

We definitely won’t see surprises in this aspect. The new crossover will come with familiar units from VW Group.  The new crossover will come with familiar gasoline and diesel engines, but some electrified versions should come in future as well.

When it comes to gasoline models, there is a small three-cylinder 1.0-liter engine, but also a recently introduced more potent 1.5-liter inline-four unit.

When it comes to oil burners, there is a familiar palette of 2.0-liter TDI variants. This engine comes in three output versions, with 120, 150 and 180 horses, roughly. We are pretty sure that all versions will be on the offer for new 2019 Audi Q4.

All engines could be paired with either 6-speed manual, new dual-clutch automatic transmission. In next few years, we expect to see a hi-performance SQ4 version of the offer too, as well as hybrid and even all-electric versions.

2019 Audi Q4 release date and price

The 2019 Audi Q4 will most likely come late in the next year, right after a new generation of Q3. When it comes to price, it is hard to predict a more precise sum. However, some reports suggest a sum of 30.000 dollars for base models. When it comes to the competition, key rivals will be also upcoming BMW X2 and Mercedes-Benz GLA Coupe.
