2019 Hyundai Carlino India

The giant carmaker from Korea works on a completely new SUV which will come as 2019 Hyundai Carlino. The new model will be designed for the Indian market, although we expect to see it in some other parts of the world in the future as well. We have already seen a concept version last year. If you see images, you can clearly spot some unique styling cues. Simply, this huge country is a bit challenging for all car manufacturers.

Drivers from this part of the world have unique preferences. So, many big companies offer models designed exclusively for this market. For example, Honda has an entire line of cars that are available just in this part of the world, which includes India and South East Asia. The 2019 Hyundai Carlino will be a completely new models from the Korean manufacturer. As we already mentioned, it is designed for the Indian market. This company already offers several crossovers in India. However, this market is specific and demand more affordable cars, but with a decent level of quality. So, a small crossover is perfect for this occasion. These kinds of vehicles are overtaking the global market and India is not an exception.

Just like we just mentioned, this crossover will come with a pretty unique look. Compared to the rest of Hyundai’s lineup, this model will feature a little bit more of the so-called “lifestyle” design philosophy. When you look at the concept version, it is clear that the company aims for younger drivers. However, the 2019 Hyundai Carlino should be versatile enough to attract some more serious people as well. The new model comes with a different design language compared to other crossovers. There are new details on the front end, like unique grille, headlights shape etc. Moreover, its overall shape looks more rugged, compared to existing crossovers from Hyundai.

When it comes to the interior design, we must mention that models for India usually come with a more affordable price. Biggest savings are usually inside. So, don’t be surprised to see a pretty modest list of standard equipment.

2019 Hyundai Carlino engines

In this aspect, we expect no surprises. This small crossover should come with the company’s familiar units that are already in use for various models across the lineup. For example, base models will probably feature a familiar 1.25-liter gasoline engine with 109 horses. On the other side, a modern 120-hp turbo three-cylinder 1.0-liter unit will be optional engine.
