The Volkswagen manufacturer is currently working on the new hybrid model that will be named 2019 VW Beetle SUV. This model will come with a bespoke body and same MQB platform that will be used in the Audi TTQ model.
2019 VW Beetle SUV – Design and Platform
The 2019 VW Beetle SUV will provide a sporty appearance with an interesting body structure which includes the sunroof, spoiler attached below the rear window and 19-inch alloy wheels. The most attraction will provide a brand new color which is named Arizona. It will be great for all lovers of vibrant and bright colors since it will be a mixture of gold, yellow and orange resembling the sunset. The Interior of this SUV is still unknown, but some magazines predict exciting features. According to this, we can expect nicely placed LED display with many useful options for the driver. There might also be comfortable seats with a soft black leather, and of course, white fabric inserts which bring the contrast.
Safety and Features
The new Beetle SUV will be loaded with advanced safety technologies and entertainment features. It will get amenities like Air conditioning with pollen filter, Cruise control, Remote keyless entry, Leather-wrapped steering wheel. There will be also an infotainment System with voice command support, Bluetooth streaming, HD Radio and Smartphone integration.
As for the safety features, it will come with lots of airbags, Traction Control System, Anti-lock Brake System, Dynamic Stability Control, Rearview Camera, Engine-immobilizer Antitheft system and also Tire-Pressure Monitoring System.
Engine and Gearbox of the 2019 VW Beetle
The new upcoming model 2019 VW Beetle SUV will come with the Hybrid engine. There are no official words about the specification, but from some sources, this model is expected to come in US market with 204 horsepower. The same engine can be found in the Golf GTE. It will come with jacked up suspension and the first 4Motion AWD system. The engine is expected to be paired with the company’s 6-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG).
Production, Price and Rivals
The 2019 VW Beetle SUV will enter the production sometime in 2019. However, this model will come as the Hybrid version, but it’s not turned off to get a fully electric version. As for the price, at this moment there are no words about it. When released, the new model will compete with Audi Q2, MINI Countryman and also a Fiat 500X.
