The long-standing SUV continues its production cycle for the next year, as 2018 Chevy Captiva. The old and aged crossover is pretty old. However, it is still available in many parts of the world.
The original version of the SUV came way back in 2006. It comes from ex-Daewoo Assembly. The reasons why this model is still active are numerous. However, the main thing about it is that it is perfect for some specific markets. First of all, it features pretty affordable price, but also comes with a decent quality. This combination is perfect for developing countries. So, it is no wonder that you can find it in South East Asia, Central Asia, Russia etc. It is also present in Australia, under Holden’s badge. Last time this old crossover received an update was two years ago. So, we are pretty sure that 2018 Captiva continues without more important changes.

Although it still rides on the old GM Theta platform, this model has changed a lot during all these years. We saw numerous updates and the last one was two years ago. The 2018 Chevy Captiva will come with the pretty much same characteristics as the model that came in 2015. To remind you, this update included various modifications. Although overall shape remained the same, there are many new details on it.
First of all, there are new headlights, as well as grille and bumpers. So, the front end of the SUV looks pretty fresh. On the other side, rear end remains pretty much the same. This update also included interior changes. Although dashboard keeps the same base layout, there is a whole bunch of new details. Most importantly, its look is very fresh, full of new details and features. So, we can’t expect anything special for the next year.

2018 Chevy Captiva release date and price
The new-year model will come late in the year. We expect that all markets will receive new version by the end of 2017. Changes in price are not expected, especially if we consider that there are no changes to come. The last update was two years ago. So, if we consider that this crossover is actually pretty old and that its affordable price in the main reason why buyers choose it, there is no reason for changes. In most of countries, base versions cost less than 20.000 dollars. On the other side, top-range models usually go over 30.000, in some countries even up to 35.000 dollars.
Competitors are different, depending on the market. However, you can consider all low-cost and old-technology models as potential rivals. Latest reports suggest a replacement in near future. So, 2018 Chevy Captiva could be one of last year models.
