After great reception of new F-Series, it looks like the company is going to bring back a highly capable SUV, as 2018 Ford Excursion. To remind you, this model had a pretty short life. It was in production for only six years, between 1999 and 2005. The whole idea was to offer a highly-capable SUV, which will match Ford’s Super Duty trucks. After initial success, sales were rapidly going slower.
After many years, the company has an idea to bring back this model. In the current lineup, there is a famous Expedition as a flagship model. This should be some kind of a stretched version, with a longer wheelbase and, more important, better working characteristics. If you need those crazy towing number, the real deal comes with the optional 6.7-liter diesel engine. With stupendous 925 pound-feet of torque, this version should be good for 18.000 pounds of a max towing capacity.
