The overflowing crossover recently got another small SUV, which came as 2018 Kia Stonic. This brand-new model is the new entry-level crossover of the famous Korean manufacturer. Since this is a completely new model, it is natural that there is a whole bunch of new design solutions. Although marketed as small SUV, it is more like a hatchback with a higher ground clearance. This model uses the same platform as Hyundai Accent but comes with plenty of new design solutions. As we already mentioned, it features a hatchback-like body style. The interior of the new 2018 Kia Stonic looks pretty amazing. It combines sporty character with a wide palette of standard and optional features. 2018 Kia Stonic engines
There total four engines in the offer for this crossover, but on most of the markets, the 2018 Kia Stonic is available with three. There are two gasoline units in the offer.
The first one is a 1.25-liter unit, which delivers 83 horsepower and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The other gasoline version comes with a small three-cylinder 1.0-liter engine, which is boosted with a turbocharger. So, a total output goes around 120 horsepower and comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Finally, there is a 1.6-liter diesel engine in the offer. It features a max output of 110 horsepower.
However, the company prepares a new, more powerful and more efficient version of this engine for the next year. As we already mentioned, there is a fourth engine option, which is available in some countries. It is an atmospheric 1.4-liter gasoline unit with the max power of 109 horses.
