2018 Nissan Juke Redesign, Release Date, Nismo

There are so many subcompact crossovers and hatchbacks on road but you will be hard-pressed to find another like the 2018 Nissan Juke. This subcompact crossover SUV began its journey in 2010 and till then has become a niche car in this segment.

The funky design, peppy ride and truckloads of customizations make it one of its kind model. For 2018, the Nissan has given some moderate updates to the Juke.

2018 Nissan Juke – Stylish Look

The Juke has always been a talking point for its unusual and eclectic exterior styling. The theme continues for 2018 though you can spot some subtle changes in the 2018 model. The bumper and grille are revised. The color choices are aplenty and Nissan offers a color studio to get your Juke painted in unique color combinations. It is sold in 5 trims- S, SL, SV, Nismo and Nismo RS.

The cabin is also quirky looking and it is stylish too. Rear seat passengers jostle for space and this is where rivals like Vauxhall Mokka and Renault Captur get an edge. Headroom, however, will not be an issue. Nismo trims get distinctive styling elements both outside and in the cabin.

Safety Features and Trims

The 2018 Nissan Juke gets docent safety features and amenities are good, more so in the Nismo trims. The base S trim gets 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless ignition, rearview camera, Bluetooth, cruise control etc. Safety wise it gets Advanced Air Bag System, stability control, Anti-lock Braking System, TPMS. In SV trim, you get rear privacy glass, sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated side mirrors, Automatic Temperature Control, heated front seats, and satellite radio. It can be paired with Tech package.

The SL trim adds automatic headlights, leather upholstery and Led fog lamps. It also gets NissanConnect with embedded navigation, Rockford Fosgate Premium Audio System. It is potentially targeted at entertainment-loving buyers.

The Nismo trim gets 18-inch wheels, Smoked combination lamps, chrome exhaust finisher etc. The Top end Nismo RS gets a more powerful engine, Recaro front sports seats etc. Both Nismo trims get Variable intermittent windshield wipers, intermittent rear wiper, 12-volt DC power outlet, Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System. You get several standalone upgrade choices for each trim, as it is.

2018 Nissan Juke – Turbocharged Engine

Except for Nismo RS, all trims of Juke come with a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that makes 188 HP. It comes with EPA city/highway fuel economy of 28/32 mpg (FWD, automatic), 26/30 mpg (AWD, automatic). This engine, clubbed with a CVT offers enough power to handle city driving and you can also take the car for occasional highway drives.

The ride quality is good and noise is not very high in the cabin. The Nismo RS gets a powerful engine making 215 HP. The EPA city/highway for this engine is 26/31 mpg (FWD, manual), 25/29 mpg (AWD, automatic).

Date of Release and Price of the 2018 Nissan Juke

The 2018 Nissan Juke will be available at the end of 2017. Its base price is approx $ 21.200. The 2018 Nissan Juke continues to be a funky looking subcompact USV crossover that has few rivals. It has a stylish cabin that is not exactly spacious. The engines are however powerful enough for target users. The Nissan offers abundant customization choices for all trims of the Juke. The pricing is quite reasonable- given the features and overall performance.
