2018 Nissan Kicks – Exterior and Interior Look

The 2018 Nissan Kicks is going to sport an enticing exterior design. The South American model is based on the company’s V-platform, but the model aimed at Asian markets will be based on Renault’s proven M0 platform. The upcoming Renault Kaptur is also based on the same architecture. This is a result of the alliance between Renault and Nissan and both brands are sharing their architecture and technologies to make inroads into new markets. Similarities with the Kicks Concept are also there.

The floating roof will sport a different color compared to the body. It is edgy styling that Nissan has used and that will help the model stand out in the crowd. At the rear, sits two boomerang taillights. There are some black claddings covering the rear side of the car. The car may be unveiled in a few trims but details are yet to be announced.

The cabin of upcoming 2018 Nissan Kicks is also enticing. The dual color tone looks appealing. Nissan’s new Gliding Wing dashboard is useful and instrument cluster also looks different. At the center of the dash sits the 7-inch touchscreen. Material quality is not lavish but it is a compact car aimed at buyers with the modest budget. Like most of its stablemates, the upcoming Nissan Kicks will get plenty of safety features and amenities inbuilt. Some collision avoidance technologies and airbags are expected.

Date of Release and Cost of the 2018 Nissan Kicks

The pricing of upcoming Nissan Kicks is yet to be announced. However, given its target buyers, it is going to be priced affordably. So a price tag close to $20.000 seems fine. It will be released in late 2017.

The 2018 Nissan Kicks is yet another offering from the Japanese carmaker to strengthen its footprint in subcompact SUV and crossover segment. The styling is enticing and it is expected to get good amenities as well. However, it should be priced competitively to ensure rivals do not get an edge.
