The 2018 Suzuki Vitara, first introduced in 2014-15 is ready to undergo some interior and exterior updates. It is also likely to get some modest styling updates as well.
The new model Vitara has been tested in Sweden. The engine range is also set to undergo some changes too.
2018 Suzuki Vitara – Design Changes
Design wise, nothing revolutionary or radical changes should be noticed in the exterior of the car. The changes that may be visible include restyled bumpers, tweaked radiator grille and tweaked tail lights. The grille that would be used most probably would be a mesh grille having a honeycomb pattern. Interior changes might well include new upholstery and trim. There would be a new looking bumper having the lower grille and there would also be surrounds for the fog lights.
The new and upgraded tech features are likely to be included in the new 2018 Suzuki Vitara and one can definitely expect to get to see Android Auto connectivity and Apple CarPlay. Pipeline features include reverse parking sensors, keyless entry, etc. As far as safety features go, the SUV is expected to be equipped with an anti-lock-braking system having electronic brakeforce distribution along with dual front airbags.
2018 Suzuki Vitara – Engine Details
Although there is no official information about the engine of 2018 Suzuki Vitara. However, speculations are that the same engine would be used like in the current model. The engine line-up would incorporate two petrol powertrains and one diesel mill.
The 2018 Suzuki Vitara will continue with the identical powertrain from the present model of Vitara. Vitara’s higher version would be getting four drive modes-Sport, Auto, Lock and Snow.
Price and Availability
Although there is nothing conclusive when it comes to the new Suzuki Vitara that would be eventually unveiled. However, rumors are on that it could make its inaugural appearance at the Tokyo motor show in October.
The SUV will not be falling into Maruti’s premium category line-up. Its pricing would remain rather competitive and it will be retailed from the general and regular Maruti outlets and not from Nexa. So chances are more likely that the cost of the car would remain almost the same as it is for the current model. However, having said that, it may well be a bit on the higher side compared to its predecessor.
Summing it up:
The Japanese origin Suzuki brand’s Vitara after being little revamped is going to be a gem of a car. With expectations surrounding it quite high especially given that it is going to be a global launch one can definitely expect the standard of the car to be pretty high.
