2019 Cadillac XT7 Release date

GM’s luxury brand is expanding its offer with a completely new 2019 Cadillac XT7. According to latest reports, the company is willing to follow latest trends on the market. So, the famous American brand will also offer a coupe-like crossover. This all started with BMW X6. Nowadays, many manufacturers offer these kinds of vehicles, in different size. Cadillac will be another. The company recently started with the new naming policy and it is pretty much easy to find roots of the new crossover. This will be a full-size SUV, probably with three rows of seats.

The new model will have much in common with the famous CT6 full-size sedan. These models will ride on a same platform and feature many same characteristics, especially in terms of mechanics. Visually, the new model will follow the brand’s latest design philosophy. The new 2019 XT7 is about to come maybe already next year.

2019 Cadillac XT7 design

We already know that the company prepares a new full-size SUV. Moreover, it looks like there will be two new three-row crossovers in the offer. Latest reports suggest that we are about to see new XT6 and XT7 models quite soon. While the XT6 will be a classic three-row full-size crossover, the new 2019 Cadillac XT7 will be a sporty version of Cadillac’s new crossover. These two models will be in the same relation as BMW X5 and X6 models, for example.

The new 2019 Cadillac XT7 will feature a coupe-like body style. With this model, company will aim for those younger buyers who search for a more attractive and less practical luxurious crossover. So far, we know that both crossovers will be in a close relationship with the new CT6 full-size sedan. All models will ride on a familiar Omega platform and feature similar mechanical characteristics.

2019 Cadillac XT7 styling

In terms of styling, the new 2019 Cadillac XT7 will be completely adapted to the brand’s latest design philosophy. We are about to see an attractive full-size crossover. From the front side, it will feature a familiar looks. We have already seen the brand’s new design language on models like XT5. The new model will come in a larger package. However, this won’t be the only difference. The new 2019 Cadillac XT7 will feature some kind of a sloping roof that will provide that coupe-like look.

Also, we expect to see a highly luxurious cabin. The new crossover will borrow some elements from the smaller XT5, but we are about also to see a whole bunch of new, distinctive details. 2019 Cadillac XT7 engines

The new 2019 Cadillac XT7 will use the same engines as CT6 sedan. The base model will come with a familiar 2.0-liter inline-four turbo engine, which is good for about 265 horses and 295 pound-feet of torque. There are also two V6 variants in the offer. The first one is a familiar 3.6-liter unit, which delivers around 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque. The other one is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 unit, which features a max output of 404 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

It is also worth to mention that the new 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8 is about to come in the CT6, so we can expect the same engine in the offer for the new crossover. All engines will come with a new 8-speed automatic transmission.

2019 Cadillac XT7 release date

It is still early to speculate about the possible launch date. However, most of the reports suggest that the new 2019 Cadillac XT7 will be ready already next year. Competition in the segment is tough. Key rivals will probably be models like the upcoming BMW X8, rumored Mercedes GLS Coupe and rumored Audi Q10.
