The third generation came in early 2017. Before the current model, two generations were produced between 2005 and 2017. For this redesign, we have seen various changes. The company introduced a completely new SUV, which rides on the new platform, gets a new look, as well as various other improvements. Also, there’s a whole new lineup of engines. Interestingly, there’s even version with a diesel engine in the offer, which is something unusual for the U.S. market. Considering all this, it becomes clear that there’s no need for some modification at the moment. The 2019 Equinox will continue with the new design and only some minor tweaks are possible.

2019 Chevy Equinox (only) minor changes

The current generation came exactly one year ago. Considering that fact, it is clear that there will be no changes for the next year, at least those more important. The third generation has brought many improvements. It gets a new D2 architecture, which provides much better driving quality. Also, there’s a new styling, much sharper compared to the previous model. Safety features is another aspect where this crossover came with many improvements. There are new systems like surround-view camera, slow-speed braking, forward collision warning and much more.

Since there won’t be changes for the next year, the 2019 Chevy Equinox will continue with the same trim organization. The base L model is already pretty well-equipped. Some of the standard features are 17-inch wheels, start-stop system, a rearview camera, LED daytime lights etc. On the inside, there’s a 7-inch touchscreen with the newest infotainment system, Bluetooth, USB, smartphone integration etc. Then goes the LS trim. This model is basically the same and adds just a few accessories and styling details like rear floor mats, a spare tire, a tire jack and a digital compass. The next one is the LT, which adds few very nice standard features. For example, this trim includes rear privacy glass, a leather-wrapped shift knob, an eight-way power driver seat, satellite radio etc. Finally, a top-level Limited ads parking sensors, remote engine start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and much more.

Chevy came with a completely new lineup for this crossover last year. There are three new units in the offer, including one oil burner.
