The new 2019 Dacia Duster finally had the premier this autumn and it is about to come next year. After seven years of production, the original version of this affordable crossover will make room for a new version, which brings various improvements. Although company names it as the second generation, it shares most of its characteristics with the original, which came in 2010.

The new version comes with an improved styling. However, those who expected some bigger changes will be quite disappointed. The Romanian manufacturer presented a new generation of its best-selling model this September, at the Frankfurt Motorshow. The new model comes with some nice changes. First of all, you will notice a new styling, which is quite evolutional. Everyone who expected bigger turnarounds will probably be disappointed. The 2019 Dacia Duster continues with a familiar shape. Simply, they don’t want to change good things. So, despite plenty of new details, the base shape, as well as dimensions remain the same.

In terms of styling, there are many new parts, which still look quite familiar. So, we say that the new 2019 Dacia Duster looks more like an updated model. Since it rides on the same platform, we can presume that there wasn’t much more space for modifications. Still, the new model looks wider more capable. The company also managed to do some modification that will provide more space inside.

2019 Dacia Duster interior design

Biggest changes on the new 2019 Dacia Duster will come inside. The second-generation model comes with a whole bunch of novelties, so we can say that the cabin is completely new. This first thing that you will notice is a new dashboard look. It is more driver-focused and definitely features a better-quality, soft-touch materials. Also, there are many new technologies installed. The new model comes with a large touchscreen that features a new infotainment system. Steering wheel with mounted controls is also completely new. However, probably the most important thing about the new model is that company managed to mover windshield forward for about 4 inches, which provided additional interior space, which is significant for small cars like this one. For this occasion, the company also installed completely new, most comfortable seats.

2019 Dacia Duster engines

The new generation comes with same engines. The 2019 Dacia Duster will continue with familiar units in the offer. There is one gasoline and one diesel engine available.

The base model comes with a familiar 1.2-liter gasoline engine, which is good for 123 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. The optional 1.5-liter diesel unit is good for about 109 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque.

In other parts of the world, there are models with several other engines. There are familiar 1.6- and 2.0-liter gasoline units, which come in several output configurations, between 100 and 150 horses, roughly.

Also, it is important to mention that some of these engines use ethanol or LPG. Most of the models are available both with a manual and automatic transmission.

2019 Dacia Duster release date and price

The new 2019 Dacia Duster had its premiere this September, at the 2017 Frankfurt Motorshow. In Romani, the new version is already available. However, people in other countries won’t be able to buy the new model until next year.

When it comes to the price, we don’t expect bigger changes. Base models will be available already at 12.000, while best-equipped models could easily go over 20.000 dollars.
