2019 Ford Everest Review, Raptor, Interior

The Australian market has always been specific in many ways. Even nowadays when global models dominate, you can find a lot of cars and SUVs that come designed especially for this part of the world. One of these models is called Ford Everest. It is designed by the Australian Department of the “Blue Oval” and produced in Thailand. So far, we have seen three generations of it.

The current model came three years ago. For the next year, the company is about to introduce several novelties. The 2019 Ford Everest will come with nice updates, but we can’t say it will be a major refresh. Most of the novelties that will come are in terms of standard features. The new model will come with much more standard equipment in each trim level, so don’t be surprised with a slightly higher price compared to the outgoing model.

2019 Ford Everest redesign

In terms of base design characteristics, the 2019 Ford Everest will continue without bigger changes. Unlike Ford’s models in other parts of the world that are predominately crossover, this one is a classic SUV. It rides on a classic body-on-frame platform, sharing most of its characteristics with another famous model, Ranger. Ford Range is a mid-size truck, which has been available in Australia for all these years. After several years of break, it also comes back to the U.S. market.

When it comes to the 2019 Ford Everest, it will continue not only with the same mechanics but with the same styling as well. By mechanics, we think of the chassis and similar parts. Under the hood, the new model will come with significant novelties. Changes to the new model will be minimal mostly in term of new color options and similar details.

Already the base Ambiente model comes with a pretty generous list of standard features. Like in the previous year models, you can count on 17-inch wheels, rearview camera, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, LED taillights, automatic noise cancelation, fabric seats, dual-zone climate control, 4.2-inch display etc. Novelties for the 2019 Ford Everest will be revised bumpers and front fascia, 10-speaker audio system, new chrome details etc.

The next in the line is Trend. It adds a lot of standard equipment. Some of the highlights are safety systems like adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, and automatic high beams. You can also count on things like 18-inch wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear privacy glass etc. For the next year, novelties are power-adjustable seats, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, traffic sign detection etc.
