2019 Honda Pilot

The highly versatile mid-size SUV will most likely continue without bigger changes as 2019 Honda Pilot. The legendary crossover is in production for more than 15 years and it continues to be one of the most competitive cars in the segment.

The original version came in 2002. So far, we have seen several modifications and there are total three generations of it. The current model came two years ago and latest reports suggest that the mid-cycle update will be ready for the 2020 year model.

This indicates that the 2019 Pilot will come without bigger changes, compared to the current model. However, we could still see some smaller updates. Compared to the current model, we definitely won’t see anything new in terms of base design characteristics. On the other side, some new standard features and technologies could be introduced. We expect its arrival late next year.

2019 Honda Pilot redesign

The 2019 Honda Pilot will continue with the pretty much same design. This crossover will continue to ride on the same platform, sharing many characteristics with the legendary sedan Accord. When it comes to the exterior design, we will not see any change. It will continue with the familiar boxy shape, which reminds more of a classic SUV than a crossover. This shape provides many benefits. Although this model doesn’t look much sporty in terms of aerodynamics, it comes with plenty of room inside. This crossover is one of the most spacious models in the class. It features plenty of room both for passengers and cargo. For the next year, we could only see some smaller updates, such as new color option and similar things. The same thing is expected with the interior design. The 2019 Honda Pilot will feature pretty much the same cabin as the current model.

Bluetooth etc. The next one is the EX, which adds things like 8-inch touchscreen, climate control, power seats, smartphone integration etc. Then goes an EX-L model, which adds some features for better comfort. It comes in a pair with a six-speed automatic transmission, while the new 9-speed automatic gearbox is optional. For the next year, we could possibly see new 9-speed transmission as standard, although there is no official information. Despite its size and weight, this crossover is pretty quick. When it comes to acceleration, it needs just 6.2 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour, which is one of the best times in the class. On the other side, max speed is around 112 miles per hour.
