2019 Jeep Wagoneer Price, Release

The brand-new 2019 Jeep Wagoneer is about to come after 30 years. Bringing back of old nameplates has become pretty popular in the car industry nowadays. It is a great marketing trick to attract more buyers, so Chrysler is not going to miss an opportunity to improve sales results. So, they have decided to bring back the iconic SUV, which was in production for full three decades.

Originally introduced in 1963, this model has been active until 1993 when it was replaced by Grand Cherokee, which became a legend soon after as well. It was definitely a good SUV, but people mostly remember it for its unique wood panels. Of course, this kind of styling was popular back in days. There are many other cars that featured something similar. Still, this one is particularly famous. Fortunately, we are not going to see any wood on 2019 Jeep Wagoneer.

2019 Jeep Wagoneer is going to come pretty soon

After first reports about 2019 Jeep Wagoneer’s revival, many of us were doubtful. However, these rumors have turned up to be true. The test model has been spotted on the road, which indicates that the new model is going to come pretty soon. Although with the old name, it will be a completely new model. We will see many new design solutions on it. Just like it was expected, it will be in a close relationship with Ram 1500. Moreover, these two models will use the same architecture, which is in the final stage of development. This includes completely new chassis, as well as new engines etc. While mechanical almost identical, visual appearance should be completely different.

2019 Jeep Wagoneer styling

In the mechanical aspect, new 2019 Jeep Wagoneer will be close to the new Ram 1500. On the other side, expect to see a very different look. After all, there are two different brands. Although under the same patronage, these are probably the most popular brands of FCA, so a high dose of distinctiveness is a must. So, the new 2019 Jeep Wagoneer will adopt Jeep’s newest design philosophy.

It will borrow many details for Grand Cherokee. Still, this will be a classic body-on-frame SUV, so expect a significantly more rugged look. Some proportions should be shared with the Ram 1500. On the insider, we expect to see Jeep’s familiar layout, although with few unique details, which will accentuate vehicles utility character.

2019 Jeep Wagoneer engines

The 2019 Jeep Wagoneer should come with several engines in the offer. Although many reports suggest a completely new engine, we believe that initial versions will come with familiar units. The choice is wide. Base models will most likely use a V6 unit, and the current 3.6-liter unit looks like a good choice. Still, some tweaks are possible, so we could see a new version with a little bit more power. Optional engines will definitely have eight cylinders. There are two units in the game. A smaller 5.7-liter engine sounds perfect, but we definitely won’t write off the bigger 6.4-liter unit. Both engines come from Hemi.

Although still under a camouflage, latest reports suggest that the new 2019 Jeep Wagoneer is in the final stage of development. We expect to see it somewhere in the second half of year. When it comes to price, we believe that the new model will go in a range that is usual for this segment.

Base models will most likely go between 45.000 and 50.000 dollars. The new model will have a tough job to establish itself on the market since there are many serious players around. Some of them are Ford Expedition, Chevrolet Tahoe, Nissan Armada etc.
