The optional 2.0-liter turbo inline-four comes with a belt-driven starter-generator and a 48-volt battery. So, it is practically a mild hybrid, which doesn’t feature an all-electric mode, but still saves some gasoline. It features a max output of 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. A plug-in hybrid is expected to come in 2020.

Although there is no official information about new version, many reports suggest that the new 2019 Jeep Wrangler Diesel will have the premiere already in the first half of next year. A few months later, we should see it on the market. However, most of these reports don’t suggest any possible price.
