2019 Lincoln MKC Is the new Luxury Crossover

There Lincoln MKC is beyond doubt among the top-selling popular vehicles in the portfolio of Ford’s luxury sub-brand. After its debut in 2013, the MKC has sold well in all markets, more or less. However, rivals like Acura, Infiniti and Lexus have been revamping their models and Lincoln does not want to lag behind. The 2019 Lincoln MKC is being readied for a 2018 launch.

This model was caught on roads near Michigan. It comes with enhanced styling and more amenities in the cabin.

The new images of 2019 Lincoln MKC model have been posted online. The upcoming model has enhanced styling compared to the existing one. It is based on Ford Global C platform on which Ford Escape is built. The butterfly style grille has been replaced with a new grille already used in stablemate Continental. Even the tail and headlamps receive a facelift in 2019 model. It is sold in some enticing hues and available trims are Premiere, Select, Reserve, and top Black Label. The cabin gets small changes but the dashboard layout is elegant and clutter is minimal. The seats are also large and very comfortable. Based on trim choice, real wood and aluminum are also available.

Advanced Safety

Like most of its category rivals, the 2019 Lincoln MKC will be also equipped with a lot of new safety features and class-leading amenities. Select trim gets leather seats, ambient lighting. Reserve model adds cooled seats, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, hands-free tailgate, 110-volt outlet along with navigation. However, the premier trim gets heated front seats, 2 zones automatic climate control, active noise cancellation, remote start, auto-dimming rearview mirror, satellite radio, heated mirrors, reverse sensors along with 18-inch alloy wheels. Of course, Black label trim brings in oodles of decadent luxury features.

Safety features available as standard are rearview camera and airbags. Top trims get Blind spot monitors. The Technology Package adds several active-safety features like Active Park Assist, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. You can also opt for a number of standalone upgrades for the vehicle.

The 2019 MKC comes with the same engine used in the predecessor. So, you get the familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost powertrain in base trim with 230 HP. The EPA city/highway fuel economy is 21/28 mpg for the(FWD) and 19/25 mpg for the (AWD). Of course, there is the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine with output close to 290 HP. This time, however, the car may get a new nine-speed automatic gearbox, made an alliance with GM. This one will have EPA rating of 18/25 mpg (AWD). Ride quality is also expected to be firm and cabin noise should be minimal.

The Black Label trim price may be around $55,000 mark and the base trim price tag can be close to mid-$34,000s. The release date can be in late 2018.

The 2019 Lincoln MKC gets moderate styling update and cabin gets small revamp. There are adequate safety features and you get enough customization choices. The powertrain is the same as in the current one. If the pricing is done right, there is no reason for 2019 not to continue its legacy.
