2019 Peugeot 2008 Engine and grip control system

The 2019 Peugeot 2008 gets few engine choices. A 1.6-litre e-HDi diesel unit is also available with three outputs 74, 99, and 118 HP. Fuel economy is 76.3 mpg and ride experience is also impressive. The car gets selectable Grip Control system to handle rough and slippery terrains. This works like a type of advanced traction control system.

If you are more concerned about mileage go for the diesel engine. You get 5 and 6-speed manual gearboxes based on which engine you choose. The cabin is not much noise. While it can handle highway driving and occasional off-road handling- urban driving is where it excels.

Summing it up

The 2019 Peugeot 2008 is a nice contender in the compacts crossover segment but it has strong competition to cope up with. From styling to a spacious cabin, it gets most things right. The engine choices are also good for this segment.

Ride quality is spot on and the urban buyers will have nothing to worry about. The infotainment setup can do with a little polish though. Overall, the car delivers enough for the price tag. However, the top GT Line trim is a tad expensive for what it offers.
