The 2019 Seat Alora will be a brand new model from Spanish manufacturer for the next year. Expansion of SUV models continues. Pretty much every carmaker offers such vehicles these days. Seat is not an exception. This company started with crossovers a few years ago.
The first model to come was Ateca, a compact SUV. Soon after, we saw a release of the entry-level Arona. It is now turn for something bigger. We used on small cars from this manufacturer, but this should be a real family car. The 2019 Alora will be a mid-size crossover, according to latest reports. The exact details are yet to comes, but we are pretty much sure that the new SUV will utilize a famous MQB platform, used for numerous models from the VW Group. Expect a completely new design, with various new design solutions.
2019 Seat Alora platform
Just like most of the small and mid-size cars from the VW Group, this one will also utilize the new, highly modular MQB Architecture. The list of current models that use it is pretty long, and one of them is a new Skoda Kodiaq. It is expected that the new 2019 Seat Alora will have much in common with this mid-size crossover, i.e. the same version of this modular platform. This means a pretty much completely identical mechanical aspect of the vehicles. Expect probably the same engine lineup as well. The new architecture utilizes numerous modern lightweight materials that will provide significant weight savings, a so much important aspect of the car these days.
2019 Seat Alora brand-new model
The 2019 Seat Alora will be a brand-new model from the Spanish manufacturer. Still, we can presume that many design elements will follow the brand’s current design language. Expect many styling details borrowed from the smaller Ateca. Still, consider that this will be a new flagship model, so it should also come with numerous unique details. What this means, in particular, it is hard to say at this moment. Still, expect new 2019 Seat Alora to look more mature compared to its smaller brothers. Though, those Seat’s recognizable dynamic lines should remain.
When it comes to the interior design, we should once again see Seat’s recognizable dashboard layout. Still, few unique details should come as well. Speaking of standard equipment, the offer should be pretty generous. Expect to see things like multimedia touchscreen, automatic climate control and many other things already in the base package.
2019 Seat Alora engines
As we already mentioned, the new 2019 Seat Alora should have much in common with Skoda Kodiaq. This refers to engines as well.
So, expect that the base model will feature a 1.4-liter TSI engine with around 150 horsepower. In a base variant, it delivers power to front wheels, but a 4×4 version is available as well.
The next in the line is a 2.0-liter unit. This engine delivers around 175 horses and comes with AWD already in base variant.
When it comes to diesel units, there is a range of famous 2.0 TDI engines. Base versions deliver around 148 horses, while the most powerful variant is good for about 185 horses. An AWD version with oil burners will be in the offer as well. Transmission choice should be between manual and dual-clutch gearboxes.
2019 Seat Alora release date and price
Although we are still waiting for official details about the launch date, it is pretty much for sure that the 2019 Seat Alora will come by the end of the year. Speaking of the price, we expect to see a similar range as for the Kodiaq. This means that the base model should go around 25.000 dollars.
