Although many new vehicles will come with a four-ring badge, Q5 remains the flagship model. Q7 and possibly Q8, electric and performance tuned versions… none of them can reach the popularity of the 2020 Audi Q5 any time soon. After the new generation arrived in 2018, the new vehicle is not coming with major changes. Whatsoever, the German carmaker is going to present a few cosmetic modifications. Also, a new RS Q5 and SQ5 performance-tuned SUVs are topping the range and the lineup of the popular model

2020 Audi Q5 Redesign
The second generation of the Q5 has a difficult task – to outperform the great success of its predecessor. If we can judge from the first miles, it will succeed. Although the basic proportions are retained, the new generation of the SUV has sharper lines from the predecessor. For the 2020 Audi Q5, the lights are elongated and equipped with LED technology.
We have to admit that the new Audi Q5 in the photos did not look so attractive and different from the predecessor. However, the live impression is dramatically different. Already at first glance, it is obvious this is a new model. The radiator mask is completely new, the light groups are narrower and have sharper lines. All in all, the new 2020 Audi Q5 looks more dynamic than its predecessor, although it’s clear that it’s not a design revolution, it’s about evolution.
The front LEDs are also characteristic of the dynamic direction indicator function. The SUV also offers fourteen body colors and offers several lines of equipment. The new model is 183 inches long, 74.5 inches wide, and 65 inches high. Wheelbase is 111 inches.

Interior
The 2020 Audi Q5 continues to use the same equipment as before. Audi followed the minimalist approach applied to some sedan models. Buyers can also choose the Audi Virtual Cockpit, which is really reviving the interior of the car with a 12.3-inch screen. The display can show information in two modes – one with classic speed gauges, and the other with the dominance of the navigation system. Regarding the general quality of the interior, 2020 Audi Q5 is perhaps ahead of its competition. The leather that wraps steering wheel and seats is soft, the materials on the instrument panel are also of superior quality and everything works harmoniously and filigree precisely packaged.
Of course, the 2020 Audi Q5 is equipped with the latest generation of the MMI infotainment system. Audi devoted special attention to the spaciousness, so the new SUV has more room for passengers in the back. For an extra charge, the new model comes with sliding rear seats with adjustable backrests. The boot volume ranges from 19.4 to 21.5 cubic feet, depending on the position of the rear seats, and when the backrests backward, the volume rises to 55.7 cubic-ft.

2020 Audi Q5 Engine
Under the hood of the 2020 Audi Q5 remains a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. This one is good for 252 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is paired with the drivetrain and sends the power to all wheels. It is a famous Quattro system. This setup allows a distribution to rear wheels if needed.
If this is not enough, then there is another, V6 engine in the lineup. This is also turbo model, that will come as 2020 Audi SQ5. Buyers of this version will get 355 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque. This one will face the competition next season since BMW announced the M package for the X3 and X4 models. The same transmission is a power router. The fuel economy for the SQ5 model drops to 24 mpg on the highway, while the standard model returns 23 mpg combined.

2020 Audi Q5 Release Date and Price
With the arrival of e-Tron electric SUV and Q7/Q8 model, the German carmaker is not going to rush with 2020 Audi Q5 debut. We could wait for a year or more. However, the level of changes is not high enough to put the focus on this model instead of new arrivals.
Some cosmetic updates are not going to affect the price of the 2020 Audi Q5. The compact crossover SUV is available from $43,000 and that will be the same next season. The premium model adds $5k, and Prestige another $5k to the price. The SQ5 will cost from $55,000 and fully-loaded it reaches $70,000.
