2020 Ford Bronco Price, Interior, Specs

The company has finally confirmed revival of the iconic SUV, which is about to come as 2020 Ford Bronco. According to the latest reports, the arrival of the new model in about two years is certain. The company plans to bring back the nameplate, which has been used for more than three decades and we have seen five generations during all these years.

Since its discontinuation in 1996, we are hearing rumors about its comeback. The closest thing that we ever got is a concept version in 2004. So, despite the revival of legendary name, it is clear that this will be an all-new model. Latest reports suggest it will be a mid-size SUV. It will feature a traditional body-on-frame design, probably share platform with Ranger pickup. When it comes to styling and some more precise technical details, it is still early and we can just speculate about it.

As we already mentioned, the 2020 Ford Bronco will be literally an all-new model. The company prepares a completely new architecture and one of the models to use it will be this one. Moreover, it is the same platform that company prepares for the next generation of another legendary model, Ford Ranger. This truck came back to the U.S. market recently. So, we can just presume that all of those gained technologies that we originally saw on the new F-150 will find their way to new mid-size truck and SUV.

New models will feature a lightweight chassis. Most of the parts will be made of aluminum and HSS, so some serious weight savings are expected. Besides, lighter body, there is a possibility to see some additional interesting design solutions. For example, we could see a hybrid powertrain in the offer. The styling should be also pretty unique, distinctive in many ways.

Well, it is still quite early for some more precise details in terms of styling. However, we can speculate about it. Moreover, we are pretty sure what to expect in terms of some base characteristics. The new 2020 Ford Bronco will most likely come in just one body style. Unlike some previous versions, this one will feature four doors. Despite this change, the new SUV should feature many details that will resemble some earlier legendary models. The company will pay tribute to legendary vintage models. So, many predict that the new SUV will feature pretty distinctive styling, different than the rest of the lineup. It should feature a boxier shape, as well as unique design elements. This especially refers to the front end, where we should see a unique grille design, headlights etc. Details about the interior design are still completely unknown and we won’t dare to speculate.

Well, this is another aspect with plenty of room for speculations. One thing is for sure, the new 2020 Ford Bronco will come with several powertrain options. Most likely, it will come in both four- and six-cylinder variants. We can presume that some of the existing engines will find their way under the hood of the new model. Most likely, we will only see modern EcoBoost engines in the offer, and there are many of them in Ford’s portfolio.

Also, we heard rumors about hybrid powertrain. This sounds very possible if we consider the way where the car industry is going. If we also consider that Jeep prepares a hybrid version of the new Wrangler, which is about to be Bronco’s key competitor, we can say that this is very possible.

    • The Bronco SUV will be powered by a 2.7-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. However, we also expect that it will get a diesel engine. Also, we hope to see Bronco Raptor SUV in the near future, powered by V8 engine.
