2020 Ford Edge ST, Interior, Hybrid

After the recent update, we are pretty sure that the 2020 Ford Edge will carry on without more important changes. The popular mid-size crossover has been around for years. The current model represents the second generation, which is in production for almost five years. The recent update was pretty major. It has brought a lot of novelties, starting from a significantly improved styling, new transmission and a new performance trim called the ST.

2020 Ford Edge

Considering that this facelift was pretty intense, we definitely won’t see anything important to be changed before a complete redesign, which definitely won’t happen in the next couple of years. The 2020 Ford Edge will continue with a familiar styling and overall characteristics. The best we can get from a next-year model could be a couple of new color options and more standard equipment. Therefore, we don’t expect to see its arrival before the last quarter of the year.

2020 Ford Edge Redesign

In terms of base design characteristics, the 2020 Ford Edge definitely won’t change. We are about to see a familiar layout, which is based on a familiar CD4 platform, which is typical for all mid-size cars from the manufacturer. As we already mentioned, the recent update has brought a lot of new styling details. Compared to the pre-facelifted version, the new model looks significantly more attractive. It came with new headlights, grille, bumpers and much more. It took a lot of inspiration from the bigger Explorer and practically feature the company’s latest design philosophy.

Given all the changes, there is no doubt that the 2020 Ford Edge will continue in the same way. It will feature the same styling and the best we can get is a couple of new colors in the offer. Other than that, things will remain identical.

2020 Ford Edge Interior

The interior of the 2020 Ford Edge will also continue in the same way. The recent update didn’t affect the crossovers cabin as it was the case with the exterior design but there was a fine number of changes. Most of them were in terms of new technologies, such as new safety systems. On the other side, the overall cabin layout has remained the same. The overall quality is on a high level, though some rivals look more upscale. This especially refers to the infotainment system, which features pretty outdated graphics.

On the other side, the cabin is very comfortable. Although a mid-size crossover, it features just two rows of seats, which isn’t so common thing these days. The obvious benefit is very generous legroom, as well as lots of cargo space behind the third row. Also, the visibility in all directions is pretty good.
