2020 Lexus RX 350 Redesign, Changes

Latest reports suggest that we can expect some nice changes on the 2020 Lexus RX 350. The famous model is one of the first luxury crossovers ever to come to the market. For more than two decades, it has also been one of the brand’s best-selling models.

The current generation is present for about three years, so the next year would be a perfect timing for a mid-cycle update. This refresh should bring a lot of changes. Naturally, the focus will be on the visual improvement, though some mechanical upgrades are possible as well. Finally, we should see even more standard features in the offer, even though the current model already comes with a pretty long list of standard equipment.

Speaking of base design characteristics, the 2020 Lexus RX 350 shouldn’t be changed at all. It will continue to ride on the company’s familiar K platform, though we could see some tweaks to the chassis. We could see some new components that could eventually improve driving dynamics and overall driving experience. On the other side, styling changes should be far more intense. The brand’s famous spindle-grille design language will continue with its evolution. For this occasion, we expect to see some rework on headlights, as well as on the grill. Both front and rear bumpers should come with some reshaping, as well as some other parts at the rear end. From the side, 2020 Lexus RX 350 will remain pretty much the same, though new wheels design seems pretty certain. Finally, expect to see novelties in terms of exterior color options and similar things.

On the inside, 2020 Lexus RX 350 should come with novelties as well. In terms of cabin design, things shouldn’t be drastically changed. We will probably see only some minor tweaks to the dashboard, probably only in terms of some small button configuration and tweaks to the instrument cluster. Of course, new color schemes are possible as well. However, the most of the changes should come in terms of standard equipment. This model is already full of standard features, but this update should make things even better.

The current model comes in two trim levels, base and F Sport. This organization should remain the same, though the base model is expected to get a lot of new things. Some of the possible novelties are features like leather upholstery, driver memory settings, ventilated seats etc.

2020 Lexus RX 350 safety

This crossover is characterized by plenty of safety systems in the offer. Even the current model comes with things like rearview camera, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with brake assist, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist are all standard. Things like surround-view camera, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and a head-up display have been optional features so far, but some of them could easily become a part of standard equipment after this update.

Under the hood, we will see no changes for this update. The 2020 Lexus RX 350 will continue with a familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is good for 295 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. It comes in pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Such combination ensures pretty solid acceleration. This crossover needs only 7.3 seconds to reach 60 mph. On the other side, fuel economy goes up to 20 mpg in city and 27 mpg on a highway.
