Nissan replaced the subcompact crossover Juke in the US. However, the Japanese carmaker is still selling this model in other countries. It will continue the development together with its sibling from North America – Nissan Kicks. In China, buyers can find it as the Infiniti ESQ. This version of Juke will need 11 seconds to sprint to 60 mph. On the other hand, it drops fuel consumption under 5 l/100 km (45 mpg US). A six-speed manual transmission sends power to front wheels only.
2020 Nissan Juke Nismo
The top model in the lineup will be the 2020 Nissan Juke Nismo. This version is not upgrading only the performance, but also the visual appearance. But, let’s start from the mechanical parts. Again, there is a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine. Xtronic CVT auto gearbox is optional for the turbocharged DIG-T model. Also, and AWD setup becomes a possible upgrade. The same 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine creates 190 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque thanks to the turbocharger. This time, the 2020 Juke will need 8 seconds for acceleration 0-60 mph and the crossover achieves 215 km/h (135 mph). Fuel consumption jumps to 7 l/100km (40 mpg UK, 33 mpg US). For the Nismo RS crossover, a 1.6 engine can deliver 200 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque.
Besides that, this model brings a more aggressive appearance. Unique graphics and red details will boost the overall impression. However, Juke Nismo is not available in all markets where subcompact vehicle is appearing. Larger wheels are definitely drawing attention. Interior is sportier, with racing inspiration for details.
