2020 Volvo XC60 Hybrid, Price

This compact luxury crossover has been on the market for a full decade and it established its position as one of the class leaders when it comes to a balance between price and quality. There are lots of great things about this small SUV. Like other Volvo model, it comes with a spectacular number of standard and optional safety features. It also offers numerous engines options and delivers a pretty high level of luxury. The current model represents the second generation, which is on market since last year. Therefore, it seems easy to make a conclusion that 2020 Volvo XC60 probably won’t feature too many changes. We could see a few more standard features for each trim level, but the overall design will definitely remain unchanged. So, expect to see it late in the next year.

2020 Volvo XC60 Redesign

In terms of base design characteristics, there is no room for bigger changes at the moment. The current, second-generation model is pretty fresh and we will have to wait for another couple of years to see a facelift.

Compared to the previous generation, the current model is better in many aspects, including ride quality. You can definitely count on great handling, though the focus is still on comfort. After all, five selectable drive modes are available across the whole lineup, so you can adjust this crossover to your type of ride. Also, there is an optional air suspension, which makes this model one of the most comfortable SUVs in the class. Considering all the goodies that came with the last-year redesign, we are pretty sure that the 2020 Volvo XC60 won’t feature too many changes. Still, few more color options and similar kinds of novelties are always welcome.

2020 Volvo XC60 Interior

If we have to point out one of the XC60’s aspects, that would definitely be interior. This crossover features an amazing cabin, definitely one of the best in class. A complete interior is made of hi-grade materials, but the overall style is the thing that impressed us even more. In a few words, this cabin is elegant and sophisticated. Just like in the bigger XC90, a huge vertical touchscreen on the center stack dominates. Another thing that makes the cabin so amazing is a panoramic sunroof, which is available across all trim levels. In higher versions, you can also get first-grade materials like aluminum and wood trim, Nappa leather and much more.
Both rows of the 2020 Volvo XC60 will be spacious and supportive. Base models feature synthetic leather, while power-adjustable seats are standard in all versions. In terms of cargo space, you can count on more than 22 cubic feet behind the second row of seats. Once rear seats fold down, you can count on class-leading 63.3 cubic feet of overall cargo space.

2020 Volvo XC60 Engines

This aspect of the 2020 Volvo XC60 definitely won’t bring surprises. Base models will continue with a 2.0-liter turbo inline-four, which delivers around 190 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The same engine is also available in a version with 250 horses. Of course, you can also count on Volvo’s famous setup that combines turbo and supercharger. In this case, power output goes up to 320 horses and 295 pound-feet of torque.
Two familiar diesel units will carry on as well. The base one features single turbocharger and delivers a max output of 190 hp. On the other side, optional twin-turbo version is good for 235 horsepower.

Finally, there is a plug-in hybrid, which uses the same turbocharged/supercharged gasoline engine in a combination with a hi-output 87-hp electric motor. A total output goes around 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
All versions are coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
