Three years ago, Buick presented a concept called Enspire. The concept was characterized by a completely new design language, far better looking compared to the brand’s current lineup. Therefore, it’s no wonder that demands for serial production were very high. A couple of years later, it looks like the company is finally working on a model that was supposed to come as the 2021 Buick Enspire. Most likely, it will come a little bit later, but that still doesn’t mean that we are less excited.
At this point, the only reliable source is a bunch of spy shots we believe is the new Enspire. At this point, the officials are still quiet, while GM insiders haven’t been particularly reliable in the past few years. Therefore, the only thing we could do is to speculate about the possible design characteristics. So, make sure to take the following paragraphs with a big reserve.
2021 Buick Enspire Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, it’s hard to talk about anything more precise at this point. The officials are still quiet, so we can only make some predictions. Still, few things seem pretty certain. One of them is the platform. We presume that the new 2021 Buick Enspire would ride on the company’s familiar E2 platform, which is used for a plethora of GM’s compact crossovers. It is a platform with an FF layout, with the possibility of an AWD system as well. Of course, we would expect a couple of upgrades on this occasion, which would make this Buick more upscale compared to its mainstream counterparts.
Exterior Design
Visually, we hope that the 2021 Buick Enspire won’t be significantly different than the concept. Of course, some things will have to be toned down, but we believe that the overall appearance could remain largely the same. This particularly refers to the front end, which looks impressive. It represents a new design language of the brand that hasn’t been known for making great-looking cars for a pretty long time. Of course, there is also a sloping roof design, which makes that coupe-like stance, a so popular thing these days.
Another thing that comes to mind is the size. We presume that the production version won’t be much different compared to the concept, which features nearly 109.5 inches in wheelbase and 182.3 inches in total length.
Interior
Interestingly, the spy shots also show a little bit of the cabin. Naturally, the dashboard is still under the cover, but we can clearly see a large integrated infotainment screen, which is driver-focused and should be one of the highlights on the inside. The rest of the dashboard is still a mystery but we expect the new model to feature a cabin that looks attractive and also utilizes high-quality materials. A full load of tech features is expected too.
Knowing the wheelbase, we presume that the amount of passenger space will be sufficient in both rows of seats. On the other side, the sloping roof may negatively impact the cargo area, as well as the rear-seat legroom.
2021 Buick Enspire Engines
We expect no surprises under the hood of the 2021 Buick Enspire. Considering that the new model will many parts with Cadillac XT4, we count on the same engine as well. That would be a 2.0-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 237 horsepower. The engine comes in pair with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which does a quite decent job.
