Those are the latest news about the model that is currently a mid-size crossover that shares most of its parts with Jeep Grand Cherokee. As you probably already know, the new Grand Cherokee will switch to Alfa Romeo’s platform. On the other side, the new Durango will go in a different way.

2021 Dodge Durango Redesign
Without any doubt, this platform switch is by far the biggest novelty for the 2021 Dodge Durango redesign. Once a BoF SUV, the Durango switched to a unibody platform with the last redesign. Nowadays, it looks it’s coming back to its roots, despite the fast-growing popularity of crossovers. The new Durango will be a genuine SUV and the company already has a platform prepared.

Exterior
Despite switching to a unibody platform, the current generation of this nameplate kept the quite rugged and boxy look.
