The Cadillac’s biggest crossover in the lineup has been around since 2020. Obviously, it’s still early for bigger updates and that’s the reason why the 2022 Cadillac XT6 will remain mostly unchanged. The overall design remains the same, while the biggest novelties are the new standard and available features. The next year’s model brings new standard safety features, while the Sport trim brings upgraded brakes. Other than that, things are pretty much the same as in the last year’s model.

We don’t expect to see bigger changes in the next few years and even if a mid-cycle refresh occurs in the future, we should see nothing more than subtle changes.
Interior
Once again, there are no new things to talk about. The 2022 Cadillac XT6 continues with a familiar interior layout, which is generally good but has a few drawbacks. The dashboard design looks nice but there are few areas with materials that aren’t typical for the premium segment. Most rivals look more upscale from the inside.
On the other side, there is really nothing to complain about when it comes to the interior space and overall functionality. The XT6 comes standard with three rows of seats and even the third row can accommodate adults on shorter trips. The first row is very generous with space and also offers a pretty good driving position.
The cargo area offers above-average ratings for the class. You may count on about 12.6 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 43.1 cubic feet behind the second row, and 78.7 cubic feet behind the first row. Also, the power liftgate is part of the standard equipment.

The base engine returns around 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, which are good ratings for the segment. The optional V6 offers slightly lower ratings, 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
