2022 Nissan Rogue Review: Interior, Price, Colors, Platinum, Hybrid

After the last year’s full redesign, we are pretty sure that the 2022 Nissan Rogue will carry on without more important changes. We expect to see a familiar layout, which has brought a lot of improvements over the previous generation. The new model is more luxurious and offers more tech features, while the new styling definitely helps standing out. All in all, the best we could see for the next year are new color options and few additions to the list of standard equipment, but even these kinds of changes should be minimal.

So, what you can expect from the next year’s model is an attractive look and quality cabin. This crossover also offers a lot of space on the inside, as well as good fuel economy. However, keep in mind that rivals usually offer more standard equipment (especially tech features) and more powerful engine options.

As there are no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2022 Nissan Rogue will hit the market sometime late in the year.

2022 Nissan Rogue Redesign

Considering the last year’s redesign, it’s hard to expect any bigger change for the second production year. We expect to see a familiar layout – the new generation also rides on a familiar CMF platform, but brings notable improvements. The suspension setup is new, while the steering has been improved significantly. As a result, handling feels quite composed, though the Rogue is still better for a calm, relaxed drive.

Visually, we don’t expect anything notable to see, though there is always a chance to see new color options. The new styling is pretty attractive and definitely helps Rogue to stand out from the crowd. Of course, we are talking about the latest iteration of the brand’s V-Motion design language, which can also be seen in the all-new Nissan Pathfinder.

Interior

This model has always been known for its very good interior quality. The previous generation featured one of the nicest cabins in the class and the new one brings further improvements. Even the most basic models don’t look cheap, despite the plastic surfaces. On the other hand, higher trim levels also feature nice leather, wood accents and similar luxury touches.

Besides solid build quality, this cabin is also pretty functional and practical. We are talking about one of the bigger models in the class, so it’s no wonder that both rows offer generous amounts of space and accommodate adult passengers with ease. The driving position is good, though the rearward visibility could be better.

The cargo area also offers respectable numbers. You may count on 31.6 cubic feet behind the second row, while the total cargo volume goes around 74 cubes. Those are some of the highest ratings in the class.

Features

The 2022 Nissan Rogue might bring a few novelties in this aspect, but we expect that most of the things are about to remain the same. So, the base version should come equipped with goodies like an 8-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a four-speaker stereo, two USB ports, Bluetooth, and satellite radio. Of course, there are numerous available options, starting from a 9-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker stereo, a 10-speaker Bose premium stereo, navigation, wireless device charging, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, rear USB ports, Wi-Fi hot spot, dual-zone automatic and tri-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, remote start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a universal garage door opener, and a panoramic moonroof.

When it comes to safety, all models will come with forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, driver attention monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights, a rearview camera, and rear parking sensors. Optionally, you can get a surround-view parking camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, ProPilot Assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, a head-up display etc.

Things under the hood definitely won’t change. You may count on a familiar 2.5-liter inline-four, which puts out around 181 horsepower. It comes in pair with a CVT gearbox and while it’s not very fast, it’s not necessarily slow either. You get a decent daily commuter, which is great for local roads but which can be loud on highway speeds.

One of the strongest points of this powertrain is fuel economy. You may count on up to 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg, which puts the Rogue among class leaders.

2022 Nissan Rogue Release Date and Price

Considering that there are no bigger changes to come, the 2022 Nissan Rogue should hit the market sometime late in the year. We presume that the starting price won’t change either. The current model comes with a sticker price of 27.000 dollars. Key competitors are models like Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester etc.
