2023 BMW X8 M Rumors and Expectations

Rumors about BMW’s new flagship SUV have been circulating around for some time and it looks like something is finally happening. Allegedly, the new model is about to arrive in the next year and along with standard versions, we also count on a high-performance performance version, which would come with the famous badge. Of course, we are talking about the 2023 BMW X8 M, which would probably be the most expensive SUV in the company’s lineup.

At this point, the officials are still quiet but we are pretty sure we know what to expect from this high-performance SUV. Of course, we are talking about a lot of things in common with the X7 and its performance version. The main difference should be in terms of aesthetics, while the mechanical aspect of the vehicle shouldn’t be significantly different.

2023 BMW X8 M Design

When it comes to the overall design, the 2023 BMW X8 M will be heavily based on the standard X8, which is expected to come about at the same time. The new model will share a lot of parts with the X7 model, with the same mechanics but a slightly different exterior design. We expect that the X8 will feature a bit of a sloping roof and a coupe-like layout.

On the other hand, the 2023 BMW X8 M would come with all kinds of upgrades. Of course, we would expect to see a typical M treatment, which would include changes both in mechanics and aesthetics. In terms of mechanics, we would expect to see suspension upgrades, bigger brakes etc. In terms of aesthetics, we count on details that would emphasize the model’s performance nature, on things like exclusive bumpers, wheels, color options etc.

Interior

When it comes to interior design, we presume that the dashboard will look the same as in the X7 model. Considering that the full-size SUV has just been updated, we presume that the same novelties would be applied to this model. This particularly refers to the dashboard design, which now comes with new infotainment and instrument cluster screens, as well as a few more modifications.

On the other hand, the overall cabin layout would come with one notable difference. The sloping roof will certainly have a negative impact on the cargo space and third-row headroom, while the first and second rows of seats are about to offer the same level of comfort and convenience.

Just like in the case of the X7, this model should also come fully loaded with standard equipment and exclusive features. Some of the highlights should be goodies like Nappa leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped dashboard, glass instrument controls, adaptive cruise control, heated and cooled cup holders, ventilated and massaging front seats, heated rear seats, lane keep assist, and pedestrian detection.

2023 BMW X8 M Engine

Once again, we don’t expect to see surprise under the hood. Just like the X7, the new 2023 BMW X8 M will come with the most capable engine on BMW’s offer. We are talking about the well-known 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, which has been upgraded recently and now puts out 630 horsepower. The engine comes coupled with an 8-speed ZF transmission, which sends power to all wheels.

Some sources also speculate about electrification. In this case, the V8 engine would come coupled with an electric motor and feature a little bit more power. However, details are still unavailable.

2023 BMW X8 M Release Date and Price

At this point, the 2023 BMW X8 M still waits for official confirmation. However, if we can trust rumors, the new model could arrive already in the next year. We estimate that this high-performance SUV would cost around 150.000 dollars.
