2023 Cadillac XT6 Changes, Release Date, Interior, Redesign

The XT6 has been around since 2020 and the 2023 Cadillac XT6 will represent the fourth production year. From what we know so far, it won’t bring any significant changes. Practically, the overall design will remain the same. The main changes will be those in terms of new color options, while the rest of the SUV is about to remain unchanged. Of course, there is always a chance to see some novelties in terms of standard and available equipment but the officials are still quiet on this matter.

In any case, the 2023 Cadillac XT6 will continue to offer the same qualities. What we like about this crossover is its spacious cabin, which offers a lot of room for both passengers and cargo. Furthermore, the infotainment system is pretty easy to use, while both engine options offer decent fuel economy. On the other hand, the biggest complaint goes to the uninspiring ride quality, as well as to the subpar interior quality.

As there are no significant changes to come, we believe that the 2023 Cadillac XT6 won’t arrive before the last quarter of the year.

2023 Cadillac XT6 Design

As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Cadillac XT6 will carry on with the familiar design. The biggest changes will be regarding new color options. According to the officials, three color options will be deleted from the offer. Those are Satin Steel Metallic, Dark Moon Blue Metallic and Infrared Tintcoat. They will be replaced with three new finishes – Radiant Red Tintcoat, Opulent Blue Metallic and Argent Silver Metallic.

Other than the new color options, things will remain the same. The 2023 Cadillac XT6 will continue with the same styling, based on the Escala concept, which still looks very nice. The mechanical aspect will also remain unchanged. This SUV rides on the C1 platform, with an FF layout. The ride quality isn’t spectacular particularly in terms of athleticism, though it’s relatively smooth and refined.

Interior

This aspect most likely won’t bring any particular change. We are about to see a familiar cabin design, which looks nice. The overall quality is good, though most rivals look way better from this aspect. Most rivals come with nicer materials, more attention to detail and better overall build quality. Also, 8 inches is the best you can get regarding the infotainment screen, which seems pretty inferior compared to most rivals that come with much bigger screens.

2023 Cadillac XT6 Interior

On the other hand, what we really like about this SUV is the amount of space. The first two rows are pretty generous with space and accommodate taller passengers with ease. Also, the front seats offer solid support and are quite comfortable. On the other hand, the third row is typically tight for the segment but still a big plus, as many rivals don’t feature the third row at all.

The cargo area is good for about 12.6 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 43.1 cubic feet with the third row folded, and 78.7 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. That’s pretty good for a luxury mid-size SUV.

Features

Although we will probably see a couple of novelties in this aspect, most of the things should remain the same. For reference, the current model comes standard with goodies like tri-zone climate control, a sunroof, remote start, an 8-inch touch screen, an eight-speaker Bose audio system, satellite radio, six USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Among available features, you can find a digital instrument cluster, a Bose 14-speaker audio system, wireless device charging, and navigation. We presume some of these could become standard in the next year’s model.

When it comes to safety, the current model comes standard with goodies like a rearview camera, safety alert seat, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors, lane departure warning, lane keep assist etc.

2023 Cadillac XT6 Engines

The 2023 Cadillac XT6 will continue with two familiar powertrain options on the offer. So, the base version will carry on with a 2.0-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 237 horsepower. That isn’t much but if we consider the average fuel economy which goes around 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, it turns outs to be an excellent daily commuter.

The optional V6 is good for about 310 horsepower and offers notably better performance. It is also quite efficient, as the average fuel economy goes around 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

Both engines come with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
