2023 Chevy Bolt Review, Release Date, Price, EV, EUV

Among automotive enthusiasts, Bolt is a well-known name, which is no wonder considering that we are talking about one of the pioneers of the segment of electric cars. The initial model came as a hatchback and now it’s time for an SUV version. That model has just debuted and it brings a significantly upgraded design. At this same time, it comes at a pretty attractive price range, so we are pretty sure it will be able to attract a wide range of buyers. The new model is coming as the 2023 Chevy Bolt.

The new crossover has a lot of great things to offer. The affordable price isn’t the only thing we like about it, we also like its pretty spacious and comfortable cabin.

Furthermore, it offers good acceleration and decent range, while the list of standard equipment is also pretty long.

We expect that the 2023 Chevy Bolt will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Chevy Bolt Design

The 2023 Chevy Bolt comes as a second generation of the familiar nameplate and it brings a lot of interesting changes. It isn’t just about a redesign, the 2023 Chevy Bolt comes in a completely new layout. Instead of a hatchback, it comes in a crossover body style, which seems perfectly appropriate for today’s market. It is notably bigger and more spacious, so we can call it a proper family car as well.

Of course, there is a completely new styling as well. It’s way more appealing compared to the original model, not just because of the body style, but also because of the new face, which looks way more attractive. What’s also great about it is that it doesn’t look significantly different from conventional models in Chevy’s lineup, which is certainly a big plus in the eyes of most potential buyers.

Interior

The cabin has also been completely reworked and now looks way better. You can clearly notice a way more attractive dashboard design, with new tech features, nicer materials and way better overall quality. Of course, the new infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster are certainly some of the highlights,

What’s also worth mentioning is that the new model is significantly bigger than the first generation. It is about 6 inches longer than the previous generation, which reflects an additional 3 inches in rear-seat legroom. This means that adult passengers can accommodate in the second row as well.

When it comes to cargo space, you may count on about 16.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 56.9 cubic feet with these seats folded, which is pretty good for an electric vehicle of this size.

Features

Even though it comes at a pretty attractive price, the 2023 Chevy Bolt will come equipped pretty well. Some of the highlights are goodies like a 10.2-inch touch screen, an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, HD Radio, automatic climate control, keyless entry, and push-button start. Among optional features, expect to find goodies like a panoramic sunroof, navigation system, Bose stereo, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.

When it comes to safety features, base models will come standard with goodies like a rearview camera, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and automatic high beams. The list of available safety features will include rear parking sensors, rearview mirror camera, surround-view camera, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. Also, higher trim levels will come available with GM’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system.

2023 Chevy Bolt Powertrain

Although an SUV, the 2023 Chevy Bolt will come with just one drivetrain option, front-wheel drive. All versions of this crossover will come with a single electric motor mounted on the front axle, which puts out around 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. That’s plenty enough for strong driving dynamics and great overall performance. The 0-60 time goes around 6.5 seconds, for example.

When it comes to the battery pack, you may count on a 65-kWh pack, which is enough for around 250 miles. Of course, you may count on different charging options, including a fast charger that needs around 30 minutes to add 95 miles of range.
