The current generation of Chevy’s compact crossover still marks good sales results and after the recent update, we are pretty sure that the current generation will remain in production for a few more years. The current model looks attractive, while there is also a new version called RS, which brings additional styling upgrades. Of course, several novelties were introduced inside the cabin as well, so it’s not hard to conclude that the 2023 Chevy Equinox should be a typical carryover model.
In other words, you may count on familiar design characteristics. This crossover looks sporty and also offers relatively sharp handling. Furthermore, we like its spacious cabin, as well as a user-friendly infotainment system. When it comes to drawbacks, we don’t like the interior quality, as well as the fact that just one engine option is on the offer.
Considering that bigger changes probably won’t occur, we expect to see the 2023 Chevy Equinox sometime late in 2023.

2023 Chevy Equinox Redesign
Considering the recent update, we expect that the 2023 Chevy Equinox will come without more important changes. We are about to see the same features that were introduced with the 2022 model, and that particularly refers to the styling. The new appearance includes a new front end, with new headlights, a new grille, as well as new bumpers. Also, there is the new RS model, which adds several exclusive styling details, such as blacked exterior details, dark 19-inch wheels etc.
On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle hasn’t changed. This model still rides on a familiar E2 platform, which underpins GMC Terrain as well. The ride quality is relatively good. We like the handling, which is agile and sporty. On the other hand, the ride can be pretty harsh sometimes.
Interior
Once again, no bigger changes are expected. The 2023 Chevy Equinox will continue in the same way, which is both good and bad. What we like about this cabin is the amount of passenger space. This crossover features 107.3 inches in wheelbase, so it’s no wonder that legroom is generous in both rows. The front seats are comfortable, though we would like to see a little bit more support. The second row is spacious and comfortable and accommodates adults with ease.

On the other hand, the cargo volume isn’t that great. The Equinox offers around 30 cubic feet behind the rear seats and roughly 64 cubic feet in total, which is about average for the class. However, rivals like RAV4 or CR-V are way better in this aspect.
Another complaint goes to the interior quality. While the dashboard looks nice, the problem is that most areas feature hard plastics. Also, the build quality is unimpressive.
Features
Novelties in this aspect are always possible but we don’t expect to see many of them in the 2023 Chevy Equinox. Most of the things should remain the same as in the current model, which comes standard with goodies like keyless entry, a 7-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, four USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, voice recognition, and a six-speaker stereo. Additionally, you can get goodies like an 8-inch touch screen, navigation, two additional USB ports, wireless device charging, satellite radio, HD Radio, a seven-speaker Bose premium stereo, a rear-seat entertainment system, remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control, a universal garage door opener, a panoramic roof, a household-style power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a color driver information display.
When it comes to safety, all models should come standard with goodies like forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a following distance indicator, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, a rearview camera etc. Additionally, there are options like rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, a surround-view parking camera system, adaptive cruise control, and a safety alert seat.
2023 Chevy Equinox Engines
Things under the hood will remain the same, so the 2023 Chevy Equinox will carry on with just one engine option on the offer. A more powerful 2.0-liter engine is not available anymore. So, the only one you can get is a 1.5-liter turbo-four, which puts out around 170 horsepower. That’s less power compared to most competitors, so driving dynamics aren’t great at all. Still, it does a fine job for those who need a daily commuter.
The engine comes in pair with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which does a quite decent job. The average fuel economy goes around 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, which is about average for the class.

2023 Chevy Equinox Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Chevy Equinox will hit the market sometime in the second half of 2022, with the starting price of around 27.000 dollars.
