Chevy’s full-size SUV has just been redesigned. The new generation has brought a lot of improvements and we are pretty sure that bigger changes won’t occur in the following years. This refers to the 2023 Chevy Tahoe as well, which will represent the third production year of the generation. However, we can hear rumors about the performance version of the SUV, which would come with mechanical upgrades and even a more powerful engine. At this point, the officials are still quiet.
Whether the new version comes or not, most of the things will remain the same. We are about to see a familiar layout, which has a lot of good things to offer, starting from a spacious cabin, capable engines and lots of tech features. On the other hand, the interior quality could be better, while the ride can be too firm sometimes.

2023 Chevy Tahoe Design
As we’ve just mentioned, this is a very fresh model. The recent redesign has brought a lot of improvement, starting from a new platform that saves weight, improves handling and efficiency. Also, there is the new styling, which has a lot in common with the new Silverado and generally looks quite attractive.

For the 2023 Chevy Tahoe, rumors suggest a high-performance on-road version as the biggest novelty. Allegedly, this model would come with the famous “SS” badge and it will come with upgraded suspension, brakes, lots of exclusive styling details and even a more powerful engine. Interior
Interior changes aren’t expected. Unlike the Silverado, the new Tahoe did receive a new cabin design and it looks really good. We like the dashboard, as well as all those tech features. However, we can still find low-rent materials here and there, while the overall build quality could be better.

Even the third row can comfortably accommodate adults, which wasn’t the case with the previous generation. The cargo area offers some of the best numbers in the class. You may count on 25.5 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 72.6 cubic feet behind the second row, and 122.9 cubic feet of the total cargo volume.
Features
Novelties in terms of standard and available equipment are always possible. However, we don’t believe that too many things could change for the 2023 Chevy Tahoe. Most of the things should remain the same as in the current model. For reference, the current model comes standard with goodies like tri-zone climate control, remote start, a 10.2-inch touch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six USB ports, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a six-speaker sound system, satellite radio, and HD Radio. Additionally, you can get goodies like navigation, a rear-seat entertainment system with two 12.6-inch touch screens and Wi-Fi capability, wireless device charging, a nine-or 10-speaker Bose stereo etc.
When it comes to safety features, all models should come standard with goodies like rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, the following distance indicator, forward automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning.
2023 Chevy Tahoe Engines
We already mentioned that the high-performance 2023 Chevy Tahoe SS could come with a more powerful engine under the hood. On the other hand, standard versions will continue in the same way, with three familiar powertrains available. Base models will continue with a 5.3-liter V8, which puts out around 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. If you’re up for something more powerful, there is a version with a 6.2-liter V8 engine, which is good for about 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
Finally, there is the diesel version, equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo V6. This one puts out around 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. All three engines come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, this SUV can tow up to 8.400 pounds.
2023 Chevy Tahoe Release Date and Price
As you can see, we don’t believe that the 2023 Chevy Tahoe could come with any notable change. That’s why we are pretty sure that the launch date will be set for the last quarter of the year. When it comes to the price, base versions should go around 50.000 dollars. Of course, key competitors are models like Ford Expedition, Nissan Armada, Toyota Sequoia etc.
