Ford’s player in the full-size segment has just been updated and after all the novelties that were introduced, we are pretty sure that the current generation still has a couple of good years before it receives a full redesign. There is a full load of novelties, starting from a new styling, new dashboard design, more tech features etc. Considering all these updates, we presume that the 2023 Ford Expedition will come without more important updates. This should be a typical carryover model, with minor tweaks like new colors and standard features only.

Another thing we like about this SUV is the cabin size. There is plenty of room on the inside, so it’s no wonder that all three rows of seats are spacious and comfortable. Even the third row accommodates adults with ease. On the other hand, the cargo area isn’t that impressive, though it’s still pretty spacious. In numbers, that would be around 21 cubic feet behind the third row, 63.6 cubic feet behind the second row and nearly 105 cubic feet of the total cargo volume.
Features
This aspect shouldn’t bring bigger changes either. All models will come standard with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable driver’s seat, Wi-Fi hotspot, six-speaker audio system, 12-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry etc. The list of standard features will also include safety features like automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking etc.
Among numerous upgrades, we also expect to see goodies like a 15.5-inch infotainment screen, 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, proximity keyless entry, navigation, HD Radio, satellite radio, rear-seat entertainment system with two screens and many more.

Things should remain the same under the hood too. We expect to see a familiar 3.5-liter twin-turboV6, which will come in three different output variants. Base versions will be good for about 380 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, which is more than enough to move this large SUV with convenience.
The range-topping Limited trim comes with an upgraded version of the engine, which puts out 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Finally, there is the recently introduced Stealth Performance package, which comes with a max output of 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.
All models come with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to either rear or all four wheels, depending on the configuration you pick.
