2023 Hyundai Palisade Changes, Hybrid, Release date, Facelift, Rumors, Colors

A few years ago, the Palisade made a debut and it is already considered one of the best models in the class. It has so many great things to offer but it looks like Hyundai management wants more. That’s why they are preparing a facelift for the next year, according to the latest rumors. Allegedly, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is about to get an update, which will include styling changes, but also novelties in other aspects of the vehicle.

We presume that the styling will be the focus of this update. We count on a revised front end, as well as on novelties in other areas of the vehicle. On the other hand, we don’t expect to see mechanical updates. The interior design might get updates as well, though it’s still early to talk about details. Finally, the engine lineup will probably remain the same, though there are sources that suggest we could see a hybrid version in the near future.

We expect that the 2023 Hyundai Palisade will hit the market sometime in the second half of 2022.

2023 Hyundai Palisade Design

Design-wise, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is about to receive a typical mid-cycle update. In other words, this should be a typical facelift, which should bring styling changes in various areas of the vehicle. Of course, the focus will be on the front end, which is about to get a completely new face. At this point, it is still early to talk about details, but we presume that the new model could take a lot of inspiration from the new Tucson and Santa Cruz, and come with a similarly designed grille and headlights.

The rear end could come with a couple of changes as well, while we also expect to see typical mid-cycle updates, such as new wheels, color options etc. On the other hand, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle should remain the same.

Interior

On the inside, we expect to see a familiar overall layout, though there is always room for updates. The dashboard might come with some tweaks and what comes to our minds is an upgrade of things like infotainment screen, instrument cluster etc. We could also see novelties in terms of finer materials, new color schemes etc.

On the other hand, the overall layout will remain the same, which means that we are about to see the same amount of passenger space. This is a three-row crossover, with eight or seven seats, depending on the configuration you choose. In both cases, all three rows offer a respectable amount of passenger room, so even the third row can accommodate adults, which isn’t always the case in this segment.

The cargo area offers around 18 cubic feet of space behind its third-row seats, 45.8 cubic feet with these seats folded, and a total of 86.4 cubic feet. Those are pretty good numbers for the segment.

Features

Naturally, this update should bring more standard equipment. However, we don’t expect too many of them, considering that the current model already looks pretty generous in this aspect. It comes standard with an 8-inch touch screen, HD Radio, Bluetooth, five USB ports, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The list of upgrades includes a 10.25-inch touch screen, navigation, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, satellite radio, additional USB ports, wireless device charging, a sunroof, dual sunroofs, dual-zone automatic climate control, an intercom, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, push-button start, and remote start.

So, we presume that some of these options will become part of the standard equipment starting from a bigger touchscreen and digital instrument cluster. Also, we could see a couple more safety features on the list of standard equipment.

2023 Hyundai Palisade Engine

Under the hood, the 2023 Hyundai Palisade is about to continue with a familiar 3.8-liter V6 engine, which puts out around 291 horsepower, which is enough to move this large SUV with authority. The engine comes in pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which also does a pretty good job. When it comes to fuel economy, you may count on about 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is typical for the segment.

Some sources also speculate about the hybrid version. If this happens, we presume that the new system would be based on a turbo-four engine, though it’s hard to say anything more precise at the moment, considering that the officials are still quiet.
