The 2023 Hyundai Palisade is about to receive a facelift. Those are the latest reports we are getting about the Korean mid-size crossover. The current generation has been around for a couple of years and many believe it’s time for a few updates. This particularly refers to the styling – the current model looks good but the competition is getting tougher every year. The rest of the vehicle shouldn’t change significantly, though we can hear rumors about the hybrid version.
Despite the changes, we expect that the core layout will remain untouched. This means you may count on familiar characteristics, starting from a spacious and well-designed cabin, which comes with a long list of standard and available equipment. Furthermore, we like its capable V6 engine, as well as a pretty comfortable ride. The last but not least, the infotainment system is intuitive and works well.
We presume that the 2023 Hyundai Palisade will arrive sometime in the second half of 2022.
2023 Hyundai Palisade Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, it is expected that the 2023 Hyundai Palisade will receive a mid-cycle update. This should include all kinds of novelties, but the styling is the first thing that comes to mind. We believe that the next year’s model could receive a facelift, which would bring styling changes mostly to the front end. The famous Kolesa already came up with the rendering photos and according to them, the new version could adopt Tucson’s grille and headlights design.
On the other hand, we don’t expect to see changes regarding mechanics. The new model should continue with the same layout, including the suspension setup. That’s not a bad thing at all, considering that the current model already offers a high level of comfort. At the same time, the Palisade is maneuverable and easy to drive.
On the inside, we don’t believe that many things could change. Simply, the current model already looks pretty impressive from this aspect. The dashboard is stylish and everything looks quite luxurious. Also, most materials feature high quality, while the fit and finish are impressive as well.
Of course, the amount of space will remain the same in the 2023 Hyundai Palisade. You may count on three rows of seats, and seating capacity for eight passengers. The front seats are massive and supportive, while the second row can come with captain’s chairs as well.
The third row is also quite functional and can accommodate adults in some situations as well. Finally, there is a respectable amount of cargo space. In numbers, it goes around 18 cubic feet of space behind its third-row seats, 45.8 cubic feet with these seats folded, and a total of 86.4 cubic feet in total. That’s more compared to most rivals.
Of course, novelties in this aspect are always possible. Still, we don’t believe that too many things could change. Most of the features will remain the same as in the current model, which isn’t a bad thing at all. Base versions come standard with goodies like an 8-inch touch screen, HD Radio, Bluetooth, five USB ports, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, you can get upgrades like a sunroof, dual sunroofs, dual-zone automatic climate control, an intercom, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, push-button start, remote start, a 10.25-inch touch screen, navigation, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, satellite radio, additional USB ports, and wireless device charging.
The same thing is with safety features. The current model comes standard with things like rearview camera, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assisting, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, vehicle exit warning, driver drowsiness monitoring. Additionally, you can get front parking sensors, surround-view parking camera system, head-up display etc.
2023 Hyundai Palisade Engines
We have no doubt that standard models will continue with the capable 3.8-liter V6, which puts out 291 horsepower and comes in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission. It offers pretty good driving dynamics, while fuel economy isn’t bad either. You may count on about 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is about average for the class.
Some rumors also say that we could see a hybrid version of this large SUV. At this point, the officials are quiet and there are no predictions about the possible system. We presume it may be based on the new 2.5-liter turbo-four, but that’s just speculation for now.
2023 Hyundai Palisade Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Hyundai Palisade will arrive sometime in the second half of the year, with a starting price of around 33.000 dollars. The competition is tough and some of the key rivals could be models like Mazda CX-9, Honda Pilot etc.
