The legendary Wagoneer has just been revived after so many years and the new model looks really good. After the great reception, it is time for the second production year, which usually brings no bigger changes. However, that won’t be the case this time, as the latest reports suggest that the next year is about to bring the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk, an off-road performance model. At this point, the officials are still quiet about this upgrade.
If it arrives, the Wagoneer Trailhawk will feature all kinds of upgrades. Of course, off-road upgrades are the first thing that comes to mind, but we also count on a lot of exclusive styling details, which will accentuate the model’s off-road character. Furthermore, some interior upgrades are possible too, especially in terms of more standard equipment. On the other hand, we don’t expect bigger changes under the hood.
We expect that the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk will arrive along with the rest of the lineup, sometime in the last quarter of the year.
2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk Design
Design-wise, the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk won’t be significantly different compared to the standard model, which debuted recently. The overall layout will be the same, but we will see all kinds of upgrades. This particularly refers to off-road performance features. The standard model is currently available with a couple of goodies, such as a two-speed transfer case, all-terrain tires, Quadra-Lift suspension, skid plates and similar things. We believe that the 2023 Wagoneer Trailhawk will bring much more than that. Some of the things that come to mind are bigger tires, further suspension upgrades, locking differentials, additional off-road drive modes and similar things.
Besides mechanical upgrades, we would expect to see some upgrades regarding aesthetics. The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk would come with some exclusive styling details, which would accentuate the model’s off-road character. That may refer to the grille design, wheels and similar parts.
When it comes to the interior design, this model would probably come with a couple of upgrades. Some of the things that come to mind are new color schemes and new materials, while some contrast stitching also comes to mind. Still, the overall cabin design would remain the same, which definitely isn’t a bad thing, considering that this SUV features pretty impressive interior quality.
In terms of the passenger and cargo space, things would be the same as in the other models in the lineup. So, you may count on three spacious rows of seats and a seating capacity of up to eight people. The cargo area in the standard model is good for about 27.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind its third-row seats, 70.8 cubic feet with these seats folded, and a massive 116.7 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. That’s pretty good for the segment.
The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk will certainly be one of the most expensive Wagoneers on the offer. So, we have no doubt that the list of standard equipment will be pretty long. All models will certainly come standard with goodies like tri-zone climate control, push-button start, keyless entry, remote start, a 10.1-inch touch screen, a 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, eight USB ports, satellite radio, and a nine-speaker stereo. We believe that the passenger’s screen could be added to the list of standard equipment as well.
When it comes to safety, the list of standard equipment should include goodies like a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist etc.
2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk Engine
This aspect shouldn’t bring any changes. We expect to see a familiar setup under the hood, which includes a good-old 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. In this case, it puts out around 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque, which is plenty enough for good driving dynamics.
The engine comes in pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which does a fantastic job. Of course, the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk would come standard with four-wheel drive.
