2023 Lamborghini Urus Gets New Base Version and Visual Updates

The exotic SUV brings some interesting novelties for the next year. Known for impressive speed and overall performance, the 2023 Lamborghini Urus will now come even more powerful in its base version, which will feature the same power as the Performante version. Also, the Italian carmaker decided to make a few aesthetical revisions, both outside and on the inside.

These updates should keep the Urus’ position as one of the most exotic SUVs on the market but keep in mind that this won’t be as easy as it’s been so far, considering that the arch-rival Ferrari is coming with its SUV in the near future.

2023 Lamborghini Urus Gets New Base Version

Practically, the biggest novelty for the 2023 Lamborghini Urus is the new S model, which will be the new base version. It will come with a couple of upgrades compared to the previous base model. The main upgrade will be the power increase. 657 horsepower, which is 16 horses more than before. Practically, that’s the same amount of power Performante offers. However, the Urus S will be slightly heavier, which will result in slightly slower acceleration as well. We expect that this model will be able to hit 60 in about 3.2 seconds, while the Performance will be able to do such a sprint in 3 seconds flat.

Once again, the engine will come in pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The top speed will be around 190 mph.

Besides the engine upgrades, the 2023 Lamborghini Urus also brings a couple of visual upgrades, which should keep it fresh and competitive. The most notable change is the new grille, which keeps the same shape but brings a new pattern. Instead of the well-known hexagonal grille, the new one features a more horizontal layout. The front bumper is also new, with new air vents, while you may count on new sets of standard 21-inch wheels. Also, you can see the new hood design, which is the same as in the Performante model, with familiar air vents. By the way, the hood is now completely made from carbon fiber. The rear bumper s also new and the main difference compared to Performance is the absence of a small rear spoiler.

Optionally, you can get a carbon fiber roof. Mechanically, the two models come with certain differences. The main difference is in the suspension setup, which includes aid suspension in the base S model, while Performante comes with track-focused steel springs.

Interior

The Italian carmaker also prepared a few interior updates, particularly in terms of the new color schemes. Other than that, things will remain largely the same. You may count on the same dashboard design, where the driver’s surrounding looks more like a fighter jet than a car. The same is with the center console, where we particularly like the gear shifter design. The overall interior quality is great, though most critics agree that the company could have done more, considering the price tag.

Unlike any other Lamborghini, this one comes with two rows of seats. Both rows are spacious enough to accommodate adults, while the manufacturer also gives you the opportunity to choose between standard rear seats and bucket seats, which emphasize the comfort even more, but also compromise the cargo area, which offers just 22 cubic feet behind the second row.
