2023 Land Rover Range Rover: PHEV, Specs, Changes, V8 Price

The iconic luxury off-roader has just been redesigned. The 2022 model came with a completely new design, which has brought improvements in various aspects, starting from the exterior design, improved ride quality, new interior etc. Considering all the novelties that were introduced with the last year’s redesign, we would normally expect no bigger changes for the second production year. However, that won’t be the case, as the British company prepares a new powertrain for the second production year. Besides V6 and V8 units, the next year’s model will also come with a hybrid powertrain on offer.

Other than the powertrain, things will remain the same. You may count on the same design that was introduced last year, which brings a fantastic combination of ride comfort and off-road capabilities. Furthermore, the interior looks amazing, while this is also the first Range Rover available with three rows of seats.

We expect that the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover will hit the market in the next month or two.

2023 Land Rover Range Rover Gets Hybrid Powertrain

Without any doubt, the biggest novelty for the second production year will be electrification. We are about to see a hybrid powertrain on offer. More precisely, this will be a plug-in hybrid system, which will be based on a 3.0-liter inline-six, which will get help from an electric motor, for a combined output of 434 horsepower. Also, the system will include a 38-kWh battery pack, which will ensure around 48 miles of the all-electric range, according to the manufacturer.

The rest of the lineup will continue in the same way. So, base models will continue with a 3.0-liter turbo inline-six, which puts out around 395 horsepower. That’s plenty enough power to move this SUV with ease but you can also opt for the V8. In that case, you may count on a 4.4-liter twin-turbo unit, which puts out 523 horsepower. With this engine, the new Range Rover needs just 4.5 seconds to hit 60 mph.

All engines will come with 8-speed automatic transmission.

2023 Land Rover Range Rover Design

As we already mentioned, there will be no bigger changes except for the new hybrid powertrain. Therefore, the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover will continue with a familiar design, which has brought a lot of novelties, compared to the previous generation. Of course, there is a completely new styling, which looks both elegant and futuristic. Still, we feel like the new mechanics are more important. The new model rides on a new platform and provides an even smoother ride. Also, the new model is lighter and more efficient.

At the same time, the off-road performance has remained at a super-high level. All models come with a two-speed transfer case with high- and low-range gearing, a low-speed cruise control system and Terrain Response 2, while you may also count on 11 inches of ground clearance.

Interior

Just like the exterior, the interior will also continue in the same way. We are about to see the same cabin layout, which looks really amazing. We really like the combination of elegant design and high-tech features. Of course, the materials are super-nice, while the build quality is at a high level as well.

2023 Land Rover Range Rover Interior

When it comes to passenger space, base models come with a couple of very comfortable and spacious rows of seats. Also, there is a stretched version of the SUV, with three rows of seats and the ability to carry up to seven passengers.

The cargo area offers around 40.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind its rear seats and 83.5 cubic feet of the total cargo space in the standard model. The long-wheelbase model is good for about 93 cubic feet of the total cargo volume.

Features

Yearly updates are always possible but we are pretty sure that the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover will carry on mostly in the same way. Therefore, base models should come standard with goodies like a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13.1-inch touch screen, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, wireless device charging, Bluetooth, multiple USB ports, a 14-speaker stereo, HD Radio, satellite radio Wi-Fi hot spot, keyless entry, power soft-closing doors, tri-zone automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof.

The list of options shouldn’t be much different either. So, count on available upgrades such as an 8-inch touch screen in the rear center armrest, a rear-seat entertainment system with two 11.4-inch displays, additional wireless device charging, 18- and 34-speaker sound systems, quad-zone automatic climate control, refrigerated front and rear center consoles, a fold-out tray table and rear sunshades.

2023 Land Rover Range Rover Release Date and Price
