After the recent facelift, it’s obvious that the current generation of Lincoln’s flagship model has a few more years before the complete redesign. That’s why we expect that the 2023 Lincoln Navigator will come with familiar design characteristics, with the same design and features. Of course, we will see all the novelties that were introduced for the 2022 model, including a new styling, new autonomous driving system, new infotainment screen etc. Also, we can hear rumors that the next year could bring a hybrid version to the table. At this point, the officials are still quiet.
You may count on the same overall layout, which still has a lot of great things to offer. We like the styling, as well as the cabin quality. Also, the ride is really smooth, while the whole package feels pretty refined. Also, there is a new camera facing system, which adapts suspension in accordance with road conditions.
As bigger changes probably won’t occur, we presume that the 2023 Lincoln Navigator will hit the market sometime in the second half of the year.
2023 Lincoln Navigator Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Lincoln Navigator probably won’t feature any notable change. We expect to see a familiar layout, but with all the novelties that were introduced for the 2022 model year. This was a typical facelift, which included mostly styling updates, particularly at the front. There is a new grille, revised headlights, new bumper etc.
On the other hand, the mechanical aspect remained pretty much the same. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, considering that the pre-facelifted model already features pretty good ride quality, thanks to its independent rear suspension and other refined design solutions. However, the company introduced a new system, a forward-facing camera, which recognizes road conditions in real time and adjusts the suspension in accordance.
Of course, minor updates are always possible, so we could see things like new color options, or maybe a new appearance package on the offer.
The same thing goes for interior design. The recent update hasn’t brought too many changes, so the 2023 Lincoln Navigator should continue in the same way as well. This would mean the same dashboard design, which features attractive aesthetics in a combination with really nice materials. The build quality is pretty impressive, while a large number of tech features make the cabin look even more upscale, especially the new 13.2-inch infotainment screen.
Of course, the amount of space will remain the same. This SUV features three really spacious rows of seats, which accommodate up to 8 passengers. The second-row bench can be swapped for captain’s chairs, for an even higher level of comfort. When it comes to the cargo area, you may count on about 21 cubic feet behind the third row, 63.6 behind the second and 103 cubic feet of the total volume. Those are pretty good numbers for the class. If you need more, there is also a long-wheelbase version on the offer.
Yearly updates usually bring novelties to the list of standard equipment, so the 2023 Lincoln Navigator shouldn’t be any different. New things are expected here and there but we are pretty sure that most of the things will remain the same as in the current models should come standard with goodies like a 13.2-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hot spot, navigation, 14 speakers, satellite radio, six USB ports, wireless device charging, tri-zone automatic climate control etc. Additionally, you can get a 20-speaker audio system and a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, panoramic sunroof etc.
When it comes to safety features, the list of standard equipment should include goodies like a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane keep assist. Additionally, there should be upgrades like a head-up display, a surround-view parking camera system, automatic park assist, and adaptive cruise control.
2023 Lincoln Navigator Engine
Under the hood, the 2023 Lincoln Navigator will continue with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which puts out around 450 horsepower. With such power, it’s no wonder it moves this large SUV with authority. Driving dynamics are pretty good, while the 10-speed automatic transmission also does a pretty fine job. Also, you may count on about 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway, which is pretty good for the segment.
Some rumors speculate about a hybrid version of the SUV. This model could be introduced already in the next year and if it arrives, we presume it would feature the same system as the new F-150 Hybrid, which puts out around 430 horsepower. More details should come up in the near future.
2023 Lincoln Navigator Release Date and Price
We expect to see 2023 Lincoln Navigator sometime in the second half of the next year, with a starting price of around 78.000 dollars. Models like Cadillac Escalade and Jeep Wagoneer are some of the key rivals.
