2023 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Price, USA, GR Sport, 300

After the last year’s, so much-awaited redesign, the Land Cruiser is once again among the best SUVs on the market. Even though it’s not available in North America, drivers from other parts of the world can enjoy an incredible off-road performance, along with a super-smooth on-road ride. After all the novelties that were introduced with the recent overhaul, it makes sense to expect no bigger changes for the second production year. However, some reports speculate about the hybrid version, which could be offered in certain parts of the world.

In any case, the overall layout will remain the same. This SUV will continue to offer impressive off-road performances in a combination with a smooth on-road ride. Also, you may count on excellent interior quality, along with a long list of standard features. Also, we like the new engines, which are both capable and efficient.

Considering that there are no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Toyota Land Cruiser will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Toyota Land Cruiser Might Get Hybrid Powertrain

Many sources speculate about the hybrid version of the new generation. At this point, the officials are still quiet about this but if the Japanese manufacturer is about to electrify the legendary off-roader, we are pretty sure it will use the same system that powers the new Tundra and Sequoia. That system is based on a turbo V6 engine and delivers a total output of 437 horsepower and 579 pound-feet of torque. Unlike most of Toyota’s hybrid systems, this one comes coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission, instead of a CVT.

On the other hand, the rest of the lineup will carry on in the same way, with three more engines on the offer. Of course, each engine is developed for certain markets, so Australian customers can get the new 3.3-liter V6 turbodiesel, which puts out around 225kW (304 horsepower) and 700Nm of torque.

In most parts of the world, the main choice is the new 3.4-liter V6 turbo-four, which puts out 409 horsepower and 489 pound-feet of torque. Both this and the diesel come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Finally, there is a good-old 4.0-liter V6, which is still available in certain parts of the world and comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

2023 Toyota Land Cruiser Design

Design-wise, the 2023 Toyota Land Cruiser definitely won’t bring any changes. The second production year will continue in the same way, based on the new TNGA-F platform, with a completely new suspension setup, which provides a much smoother ride and which also includes E-KDSS (Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System) for ultimate driving experience on all terrains.

2023 Toyota Land Cruiser GR Sport

Of course, this is primarily an excellent off-roader, which is no wonder considering that base models come standard with four-wheel drive, center locking differential, hill descent control, and selectable drive modes. Additionally, you can get off-road features, such as upgraded suspension, front and rear locking differentials, and additional off-road modes.

Interior

The same thing goes for interior design. The second production year should bring no changes, so you may count on the same layout that was introduced last year. This new cabin looks amazing. It is modern and attractive in every aspect, particularly the dashboard. Of course, you can notice a massive use of quality materials, along with lots of new tech features. The build quality is excellent, the attention t detail is also very impressive.

2023 Toyota Land Cruiser Interior

The new generation kept pretty much the same dimensions as its predecessor, so the amount of space is pretty much the same. With just 112.2 inches in wheelbase, it’s hard to expect too much room in the third row, which works best for the kids. On the other hand, the first two rows of seats are very spacious and comfortable.

Features

Once again, it’s hard to expect bigger changes. So, all models should come standard with goodies like a 12.3-infotainment screen, a 7-inch instrument cluster digital screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-speaker audio system, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat, heated and ventilated front seats, quad-zone climate control, wireless charging, head-up display.

Considering the long list of standard equipment, the amount of available features isn’t particularly big. You can get goodies like a sunroof, memory seats, heated and ventilated second-row seats, a center cool box, power tailgate.

2023 Toyota Land Cruiser Release Date and Price

As there are no significant changes to come, we expect that the 2023 Toyota Land Cruiser will hit the market sometime late in the year. The starting price goes around AU$128.000, while the starting price in the Middle East goes around AED 230.000.
