2019 Chevrolet Blazer Release Date, Price, Engine

It is official folks, Chevy announced new Blazer last week. The upcoming 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is coming without boxy shape and the new design looks more like a conventional crossover. The American carmaker says that the Camaro muscle car was a sort of inspiration for the Chevy’s designers. New Blazer will run on a uni-body platform and it will bring plenty of sportiness and modern styling cues.

The 2019 Blazer was introduced back in 1969 and the retirement came in 2005. Now, the famous Chevrolet’s mid-size SUV is back and it is slotting between the Equinox and Traverse models. Blazer will arrive next year and rivals such as Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ford Edge will have to raise their game in order to stay competitive.

2019 Chevrolet Blazer split-grille design is same as on the Camaro

While the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer slots between the Equinox and Traverse, it looks nowhere near those two models. The front end is clearly taking an inspiration from the famous Camaro model with the aggressive front fascia. This SUV is one of a few SUVs available in the market that looks so mean and angry. The headlights and split-grille design are basically the same as on the Camaro.

A slim LED strip looks like a modern touch and grille extends from one end to the other. Moreover, the grille becomes wider toward the bottom front part and it reminds us of a Lexus’ spindle grille with honeycomb mesh.

The side profile features some usual SUV’s styling cues without much muscles and with a clear design. Blacked-out pillars and 18-inch wheels with black wheel arches are looking stunning. The RS model is available, and it adds 21-inch wheels and blacker appearance and Premier models come with plenty of chrome materials.

  1. What about the GMC model JIMMY, am not a true fan of the brand CHEV , to me its a cheap cheap vehicle knock off

    • As you know GMC Envoy has replaced Jimmy model in 2001. The GMC Envoy is discontinued in 2009 and we do not expect from GMC to return model. So, you must choose between GMC Acadia and GMC Terrain models.

      • To me personally both models do not give me as a GM faithful owner anything to be faithful for your cheap cheap products, seems some higher ups think of scraping a great product in the Jimmy to a lower lower class, and we as consumers suffer I would NEVER down grade myself in getting a cheap product like the BLAZER, have contacted a dealer and placed deposit when ever a JIMMY model appears seems some higher ups do not know what the public wants in a vehicle
