2021 Volvo XC40 Recharge
Although the XC40 is a well-known name in the automotive world, the 2021 Volvo XC40 Recharge is essentially a completely new model. We are talking about Volvo’s first all-electric model, which promises some really impressive specs. For example, you may expect a max output of 408 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque, which should be enough for a 0-60 sprint in less than 5 seconds. Also, the company claims 200 miles of the all-electric range.
An interesting thing is that the new electric model will ride on the same architecture as the current XC40. However, this platform has been significantly modified for this occasion, so it can accommodate a pretty bit 78-kWh battery pack, located under the floor. This adds weight and also keeps the center of gravity pretty low. The overall styling will be pretty similar to the standard model but count on loads of details that emphasize the model’s all-electric character. While we still don’t know the price, the 2021 Volvo XC40 should hit the market by the end of the year.
