2023 Buick Enclave Preview, Avenir, Colors, Specs, Features

In the automotive world, Buick walks on a fine line between mainstream and premium segments and its flagship model called Enclave is a perfect example. It offers a lot of luxury bits but also keeps things simple in terms of mechanics and overall layout. The current generation has been around since 2018 and after the recent 2022 refresh, we are pretty sure that the 2023 VW Tiguan will come without more important updates. We expect to see a familiar design and features, though there is always room for minor tweaks in terms of standard and available equipment.

You may count on a vehicle that offers a lot of good things. We like its capable V6 engine, as well as its smooth and comfortable ride. Furthermore, the cabin is spacious and comfortable, while the list of standard and available features is pretty long. On the other hand, the biggest complaints go to handling and cabin materials, which feel cheap in some areas.

As there are no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2023 Buick Enclave will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Buick Enclave Design

As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Buick Enclave will arrive a year after the mid-cycle refresh. Therefore, it’s hard to believe that this model could bring any bigger change. The overall design will remain the same, based on a familiar C1 platform, which also underpins models like Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia. Mechanically, these models are pretty similar, though the Enclave offers a little bit smoother ride, thanks to a more advanced suspension setup.

Visually, you may count on all the novelties that were introduced with the 2022 model year. This update has brought completely new styling, with a new front end that includes new headlights, more aggressive bumpers and a more prominent grille design. We saw a couple of novelties on the other end as well.

Interior

When it comes to interior design, we expect the same thing. This cabin still looks nice enough to keep this SUV competitive, though we feel that some things could have been done better, given the price tag. This particularly refers to materials, while the attention to detail could be better too. Still, the overall build quality is good.

On the other hand, there is nothing to complain about regarding interior space. With nearly 121 inches in wheelbase, the Enclave is on par with many full-size SUVs and as a result, even the third row feels spacious enough to comfortably accommodate adults. The front seats are massive and supportive, while the driving position is pretty good too.

The Enclave is a perfect family hauler and the best way to prove this claim is to check the cargo area capacity. This SUV offers 23.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind its third row, 57.7 cubic feet with the third row folded, and 97.4 cubic feet, which are impressive numbers.

Features

Novelties in this aspect are always possible. Still, we are pretty sure that most of the things are about to remain the same. So, all models should come standard with goodies like tri-zone climate control, push-button start, keyless entry, an 8-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, HD Radio, satellite radio, a six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, six USB ports, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Among updates, expect to find things like a panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, and a 10-speaker stereo.

When it comes to safety, all models should come standard with goodies like a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, automatic high beams etc.

2023 Buick Enclave Engines

Things under the hood definitely won’t change. The 2023 Buick Enclave will continue with a well-known 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 310 horsepower. That’s quite enough for solid driving dynamics, while the 9-speed transmission ensures smooth and relatively quick shifts. Front-wheel drive is standard, while you can also get versions with all-wheel drive, which offer a little bit more engaging handling.

When it comes to fuel economy, you may count on about18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is about average for the segment. A properly equipped Traverse can tow up to 5.000 pounds.
